Very clean! Washrooms, showers, wifi! I've been there 2 times going for a 3rd soon! Recommend to anyone in or passing through Merritt!!!!
We (husband, daughter, 2 dogs and myself) traveled here in a camper van and stayed for 1 night in the beginning of August 2025. We didn't reserve a spot ahead of time and just drove up and asked if there was still anything available. The man behind the counter was very friendly and told us there were still some sites available. We chose a site with only electricity, which cost about $38 CAD including taxes. At the campground, there was a small shop, restrooms, and showers near the office. We were quite a distance from the restroom/shower building, but that wasn't a problem. We received codes to get into the restroom/shower buildings and a Wi-Fi password. Our campervan happened to be parked next to a Wi-Fi pole, so we had no problem connecting. The showers are free, and the entire building with showers and restrooms was very clean and tidy. You can also access the Coldwater River from the campsite. I highly recommend this campground to anyone who happens to be in Merritt and is looking for a campsite.
Wonderful place, nice and clean. We celebrated my daughter’s birthday here with families and friends and it was a blast. Our campsite is just near on the river and the kids love it(running water). Beautiful scenery, they also have little store in the place👍. The owner was so friendly and very helpful. Highly recommended to everyone❤️Kudos👍
Great facilities (sites, washrooms, showers, laundry). Reasonable rates. Friendly staff. Beautiful scenery. Quiet. No playground but nicely treed and grassy area to play in and small river runs beside.
The park was easy to find. Access to the park is through the industrial section of town. Pavement all the way until you arrive at the park. Signage is adequate. Check in was efficient and friendly. The rules are fairly basic but you must sign a document stating that you have read and understand them when you check in. We did notice a few campers that travelled a bit fast through the park but management can’t be everywhere to enforce that problem. Not parking on grass would be very hard to enforce ‘cause the pads are mostly just dirt. Our site, 18, was a back in that was just long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30 amp, water and sewer) were to the left side. We did not like the look of the water so did not hook up. (We always fill a clear glass and take a sip first) There are no buffers between sites. Distancing is very close almost awning to slide. Each site has a table and most have a fire pit. Our site was un-level and rocky. We had to level the picnic table with rocks to make it work for us. Overall the park was not pretty and some of the full time sites looked cluttered and tacky. Internet is included in the price and worked well enough for e mail. We did not find any OTA TV. Satellite might be difficult because of the trees if you don’t have a portable dish. The washrooms and free showers are closed supposedly for COVID reasons. The Coldwater River runs along the property and is popular with folks wanting to cool off during the heat. This is a well run, but very poorly laid out, very rough urban RV park. We paid $39.90 per night inc tax with a 10% GS discount and don’t feel we received good value. We will not be back.
