If your looking to get high, then this is the place. This is one of those places, that Jeff Foxworthy talks about. “If you own a home, with several wheels on it and cars without... Or if you have to go outside, to get something outta the fridge…you might be a redneck. For real though, if you have any self respect, avoid this place; it’s creepy.
Quiet, clean bath house, short spots, first come, first serve. Ralph, manager, is very nice. Small babbling brook along the backside. Obviously, bears. Haven't seen any yet. Can get mail and packages. Cash or check. Lenient with dogs. That's kind of a problem. Ours has been attacked in other RV parks. Very convenient to Asheville city.
This is such a cute little hideaway campground. Quiet and secluded. The residence here are all very kind. Management is wonderful. I couldn't ask for a better place to stay. It's a beautiful nature oasis. Thank you for your hospitality.
We intended to stay, then changed our minds after spending over an hour trying to back in our RV into a tight spot with hookups in the back instead of on the side. Pros: * Ralph, the owner, is very patient. * The guests were helpful in our situation. * There were children riding bikes throughout the property, so it seemed family friendly, despite reviews saying otherwise. * $35/night for full hookups! Cons: * Only cash/checks accepted * No reservations. First come, first served * The spots are all back in, tight fitting, only a few feet between neighbors. * Some guests are using the outdoors as storage. Think furniture, vacuum cleaners, paint thinner, etc. FYI: * Google maps led us on the wrong road. We didn't get cell service until we turned around and drove to an area with cell service to call the office to ask for better directions. * Some guests were smoking the entire time we were there. If you have allergies to second hand smoke, this info might be helpful to you.
This place was a place where trailer park trash went and lived. It was quiet when the dogs weren't barking, roosters were crowing, or cars weren't driving around. They are incredibly unorganized. They don't make you sign any paperwork. Don't take any information from you. They expect you to pay and know when because if you don't, the mean old owner just tells you to leave. The bath house is dirty. And the more permanent residents were just as dirty. A twitchy and jittery resident asked me for pain medication at midnight! Stay clear of this camp site. The lower price isn't worth it.
