Campground was built many years ago for travelling workers with RVs. It is now rundown with tall weeds on the sites. The camper water supply valves are buried about 16" underground down in a 12" dia pipe with nasty roaches and spiders. THE HANDLES ARE BROKEN OFF THOSE HARD TO REACH UNDERGROUND WATER VALVES at my rundown campsite. The lady running the front office told me to call the owners myself to try and get help for the water valves with no handles. After about an hour a grumpy owner calls back and says he will call in somebody. Another half hour after that, a really nice maintenance man came and laid down on the ground to reach & open the valve with a pair of 6" Vise Grips. For us to leave 3 days later I had to call the nice maintenance man back to turn off their water valve.
Couldn't find it even though we were parked in front of the sign. Message on the phone number said to leave a message and they would call back when they could. Office hours for their business was 8-4pm. We got there at 5pm and office was closed. We left.
Nothing fancy, just a level quiet place to set up for work-camping in the area. Propane delivery for people staying long term. Price is good.
Stayed here 5 nights in October 2017. Closest place we could find to Fairmont and a fluke we found it. A final search when we were in the area finally returned results! Anyway it's an ok RV campground. Two levels, full hook up and free wifi. The sewer is on one side of the site, with 30 feet between you and the next site. Depending on what site you choose your water/electric (50amp) could be on the other side to your connections as they're a shared service in the middle of two sites. The water hookup is in a hole so it doesn't freeze in the winter. Sites are level. There is no shade, or privacy. It's a good place to overnight, or in many cases here, live. Very clear cell service (Verizon). Their wifi is free but slow if too many people are on. I found it usable though and was grateful it existed to save on data! No bathhouse or laundry facilities. It does have a basket ball court and playground. Convenient to downtown Fairmont (15 mins) and Prickets Fort (25 mins). Only 10 mins to White Hall (the generica section where you'll find familiar brands). We'd stay here again when visiting family.
This campground was about the closest we could find to Clarksburg. We stayed here in a motor home. It is not a campground we would recommend as the hook-ups were placed in odd out of the way places. The water hook-up was in a hole that filled up with water when it rained. It was not sanitary for good potable water. Supposed to have WiFi, but we could not connect to it. We left a day early
