We stayed here with our 37.5-ft fifth-wheel RV and had full hookups. Most of the full-hookup sites are 30-amp, so you’ll need a 50-to-30 amp adapter if your rig is 50-amp. The campground is just steps from downtown Lakeport, with its cute local shops and nearby park area. Our kids loved the playground right next to the park, and it was great to see lots of local families and kids there as well. The campground itself is quaint and peaceful, with plenty of wildlife—beautiful blue herons, pelicans, and ducks galore. April, the camp host, is friendly, welcoming, and makes herself available if you need anything. Overall, it’s a great little spot for fishing or simply unwinding and enjoying the area. Definitely a place we’d recommend.
So where do I start I would have to say this place was awesome my family really enjoyed this site. Pulling in and greeted with smiles and enthusiasm. April was amazing a super busy camp host but seemed like she was on her feet greating people everyday just checking on them making sure there stay was going well. We spent two days in site 63 and wife and kids just enjoyed every part of this place. Fourth of July there will be a definite stop thank you April the park was amazing. 5 stars all the way from our family see you again thank you.
Went here for a retreat with a bunch of guys for a 3 day camping trip. Located right on the lake with a shaded camping area which was crucial cause it's super hot there. Has a boat launch if you bring a boat, great fishing, bbqs, bathroom with a shower, and located close to town with restaurants and so forth. Been here 2 years back to back and will be back again
I recently visited Willow Point in Lakeport, and my experience was a mix of impressions. The place is pleasant and offers easy access for fishermen, which is a big plus. However, the advertisement about the location is a bit misleading. The website shows a beach area in front of the camping sites, but in reality, there is only brush with no proper access to the lake. Another point to consider is the reception, which was abandoned during my visit. To check in, you need to contact a person via phone. After that, you can choose your site and set up. Be careful, though, as one of the staff members is often very drunk and doesn’t have a polite approach. As for the facilities, the sites for trucks are good and have water and electricity hookups, while the tent sites only have water. On a positive note, the bathrooms are clean, and the shower water is hot. In summary, Willow Point has its positives, especially for fishermen, but some aspects could be improved. Let me know if you need any further adjustments!
Willow Point is a great spot, reasonably priced at $30 for a tent, and RV sites are available. Look for Ron there as camp host, and Rubi in the office, both are helpful and friendly. Amenities include coin operated showers, water spigot near every site, community gazebo for grilling, a small dock for fishing and walking distance to Library Park.
