South Park

Parking, park and pavilion were great. Wished the bathrooms were unlocked, but understand why places prefer to lockup durong off-peak times (wheelchair accessible).

I don’t have much to compare it to since this was my first haunted walk, but the Haunted Forest we went to had an actual story behind it, which made it more interesting. The walk was quite long, so it felt worth the time, and it was free, though you do get a guide. Apparently, multiple people have gone off the trail because it gets really dark. We went as a romantic date, but having a guide made it feel less scary. Even though we arrived around 7 p.m., it was dim enough to feel eerie, but we only had one real scare since it’s family-friendly until 8 p.m. I was expecting something more romantic. They offered flashlights at the beginning, and they had some cool lights, but overall, it felt a bit toned down.

This is a relaxing place to stop and play. My family was on a road trip and wanted a place to eat some sandwiches and let our child burn some energy. Our decision to go to South Park was great!

We took our grandson to the haunted forest for Halloween. They a costume contest, he won first place for the boys in his age group. They had hayrack ride through the haunted forest. Enjoyed it very much.

Big playground with lots of options of equipment. Pavilion for picnics. A few baseball fields that you can use when the local school isn't. Open bathrooms with real toilets and sinks. And free campsites.
