Had a relaxing wonderful time just sitting there watching the voters it was nice and quiet and fresh Great Escape when wanting to get away from the city
No fire pit.. showers had no hot water. We had kids and people were constantly speeding by our site and we had to bring our garbage home. Didn't know that till we got there. I'll never go there again!! Sad experience.
Playgrounds were nice. Not overly crowded, but due to unmarked lots, the other campers were very spread out leaving little selection. Vault bathrooms were disgusting with major cobweb build up and loads of active spiders. Toilet paper was well stocked though. Lots of traffic driving in, some to use the boat ramp, most just turning around, including golf carts, gators, and 4 wheelers. No garbage cans, must take it with you. No running water for hand washing. Fire pits full of ash. Lots of broken glass around fire pits and near the multipurpose shelter near playground. Make sure to wear shoes!
Full description since not much yet in Maps location info: Nice open area right off the water. No formal lots so you may end up close to your neighbors. The openness can be harsh if windy and in a tent, but there are a at least a couple trees to get close to for shielding. Very nice playgrounds! Fire rings, picnic tables, permanent restrooms, 1 nice dock, other great bank fishing areas, boating ramp, pavilion, basketball court, horseshoe pits. Honor box payments. Great rates: $10 for tent. $15 for RV. No hookups (including elec). My wife and I and our 2 kiddos had an amazing restful weekend. Definitely looking forward to our next stay.
A quiet place for a midweek overnight stop. We were the only people there on a Wednesday night at the beginning of August. Restrooms were clean. It's a small lake in the middle of farm country. We dropped the requested $15 fee into the honor box.
