We had the Rib eye steak. It was honestly the best steak I have ever eaten and I’m from Berta lol. Looking forward to eat this again next year. Hoping that chef sticks around!

Fantastic food, service and portions. Owners are great as well. Definitely a must stop. It's worth the 35-40min drive

Had dinner last night at Wellman Lake Lodge restaurant and it was a 10/10 !! I had a reuben and my partner had the double smash burger. Both were outstanding! Highly recommend eating here while camping at Blue Lakes. A lovely drive and a real treat for dinner. Compliments to the chef! Only downside was trying to find out their hours. The website isn't great amd the phone # didn't work. They did however answer my emails asking for their hours of operation.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay, the cabin was fairly well stocked, the main bed was comfortable, BBQ worked well and they provided quite a bit of firewood. Reason for not giving a full 5 stars was just a few things that need maintenance. The stairs to the deck need to be rebuilt, they are quite sunken on one side so all the nails are pulled out and at the width they are, a 3rd stringer should be added in the middle., and there was some trim on the tub in the living room that needed to be replaced or reattached as a sharp chunk was hanging off and was apparently "fixed" with a small piece of tape which was not working, there was no remote for the tv, only the blu-ray player which needed new batteries to function, and a lightbulb was missing from the range hood. It was fairly clean inside, but the firepit had not been cleaned out and was full of ash, fresh cigarette butts, cans and nails/screws, which i had to clean out before we made a fire that was safe to cook on. Having our personal dock was nice, but again, the boards on the shore side were rotted and broken. This place could be quite a bit nicer with some fresh lumber and a bit of maintenance. The owners seem to be doing some things like that, they replaced the flooring recently, although poorly installed, is certainly better than what wouldve been there previously. We would definitely stay again, although in the future I would bring more of my own dry wood, or a large splitting axe to try and get through the provided stuff, as it was quite wet/freshly cut and very difficult to split into manageable pieces.

I and my husband wanted to get away to get some peace and quiet and we couldn't have chosen a better place! The response from host was quick and instructions were precise! The cabin was clean, spacious, cozy and comfortable. The lake was so close! Great views to wake up to! We were welcomed by a beautiful rainbow on arrival. We highly recommend this place and the local restaurant went out of their way to get us vegetarian food options. It was a phenomenal experience for us! One note, please download offline maps as the area does not have cell network. Once you get there the cabin has high speed wifi.😃 Lots of lakes within 20 min distance for fishing!
