Brighton RV Resort

I am somewhat conflicted with my review for this campground. We camped there 2 nights with our travel trailer while heading further south in FL. The sites are cement slabs and ours was level. Full hook ups which worked well. We had a paver patio with picnic table. No fire pit. There are many long term campers, all of whom were extremely friendly. Campground is clean with open spaces for dog walking. Convenience store and gas station on property. Laundry room with working appliances, however in need of updating. Now to the customer service. Non existent. We made our reservation online and received a text with our site number about a week prior. Looking at the map of the grounds it appeared to be a back in site however it was a pull in site. (not pull through-a new experience for us) Office was closed when we arrived (we arrived at 2:20 pm during office hours) with no packet or instructions. Called the # to try to change sites (there were several back in sites open) and received no answer so left a message. After waiting an hour, and with assistance from a nearby camper, we pulled in and set up. Finally received a call 2 hours after leaving a message. Cool response at best with no resolutions offered. If you decide to camp here be sure to talk to someone about your site preference. Casino and Lake Okeechobee nearby. Cost $80 per night - a little steep in our opinion.

Bran new hotel, very nice and wonderful service staff. The hotel also has a very good and strict security detail which makes one feel safe. Good restaurants - one fancy and high priced and the other very reasonable and, like the hotel, well staffed. They have a bowling alley which is very reasonable and provides a nice break from the casino.

We stayed at Brighton on site 313 for 4 nights. The campground is very nice and clean. The bathhouses are clean and updated. The sites are concrete and level. There is a very nice camp store and a pool and a pond. We enjoyed our time there. Hit the casino one evening. Played for about 2 or 3 hours. Left a loser but had fun. Not much to do in the area but we’d definitely return. Very quiet and relaxing.

Loved our stay here. We had some confusion with where our site was but called the office number and it was stratened out quickly. Nice bathrooms and nice sites they were all concrete with a paver patio. We will definitely be returning!
