Stopped by on a bikepacking trip and had a wonderful time. Staff was incredibly friendly, helped us find a nice spot near the river. Facilities were nice, location was great. Will happily be back for another camp
Great caravan park. Staff were friendly and helpful, checking in on us during extreme weather conditions. Amenities are older but clean and functional. Gardens and surrounding grassed areas were manicured and caravan sites were nice and green. River close by for swimming. Good location to ride the Great Vic Rail Trail. Highly recommended.
One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a paid campground. We booked a powered site and clearly told the staff beforehand that we would be sleeping in our SUV. They had no issue with it during booking. But once we arrived, we were suddenly told that sleeping in our own vehicle was “not allowed” and were pushed to leave their property and stay at a free campsite outside. This was unreasonable, unprofessional, and completely avoidable if they had been upfront from the start. The facilities are extremely old, poorly maintained, and the signage both online and onsite is unclear and misleading. While we were using the kitchen, the manager came over and told us to leave because the kitchen was “closing,” even though the sign clearly said it closes at 10pm. It was only 8:30pm. He later apologized, saying he “got the time wrong,” which is unbelievable for someone who manages the place. The most unacceptable part was that one of our friends had racist remarks directed at her by another guest who seemed to be friendly with the staff. This is absolutely disgraceful and made us feel unsafe and unwelcome. Overall, the place is outdated, unprofessional, overpriced, and full of problems that should never happen at a paid campground. One of the staff had extremely poor control over his emotions and had to be stopped by other employees before his behavior escalated even further. We regretted staying here and would strongly warn others to stay away. Btw the only good thing they did was point us to the free campground nearby which turned out to be much quieter, cleaner, better maintained, clearly signed that tells what can do and what can’t , and it is completely FREE. It was far better than anything we experienced on their property.
This place is absolutely terrible. I drove two hours from Melbourne to get to this campervan campground, only to find out that they don’t even allow you to sleep in your own converted campervan. The staff and their friends were full of racial discrimination, the facilities were old, and the campsite rules were practically nonexistent. The kitchen was supposed to stay open until 10 p.m., but they kicked us out at 8:30. The staff had an extremely bad attitude and completely wasted our precious holiday. We paid money only to suffer such a huge loss. I can only give it one star; zero stars isn’t even an option. I strongly do not recommend this place unless you want to waste your vacation and experience racial discrimination. I will never go to this place again.
another fantastic stay at Molesworth by the Goulburn river. Great hosts who have done an amazing job revitalizing the park. Pub is open and has good meals - all within walking distance
