Harlan Campground

We stayed here last week while we braved the trails at the delightful Black Mountain Off Road Adventure. We loved Harlan Co Campgrounds, we stayed in Emily's Elk Lodge; the peace and tranquility was such a blessing as we unplugged from the rapid pace of our daily lives. Coffee in the mornings on the swing by the small waterfall in the backyard and the hot tub at night after a hard day on the dirt bikes will be memories we cherish. The cabin was very clean and well maintained. Office staff were friendly and informative. It was apparent they are invested in their community and know it well. Steve offered up several great suggestions to check out while not at the park. As a plus the cabin had ample space to turnaround, back up and park a trailer. We fell in love with Harlan Co and will certainly be back.

Harlan county has more trails than Hatfield and McCoys not including between Putney and evarts

Beautiful and tranquil. Nice place to relax your mind and just breathe. Gorgeous mountains!!!
