The hosts are too nice, the showers too hot and the dogs are just too cute.... Thought of this campground as just another place to sleep but ended up changing our plans and spending the whole day just hanging out. Paul was so helpful with everything, him and Chris were always worried if we'd need something, even though they'd already done way more than enough 😊 thank you so much for the lovely stay, we'll be back one day!

Our new favourite camping destination! What a kind owner couple! Thank you Chris & Paul! 25mins drive from our favourite Angourie point. We stayed this place twice and will come back every time for sure! Camp site is always has private space actually often by ourselves. Sometime one or two others. But everyone come here seem to be caring others privacy and stay quiet. So we are so happy to stay here. We use to go caravan park in Yamba town. But all tent sites are very small and too close each other… I don’t think we can go back to other caravan park after staying at Ashby Height Camping. To be honest, the first time visit was just because everywhere else was fully booked. And this time, I had checked other Caravan park price as well. But other Caravan park in town charges more than 3 times than here!! Now the reason to come back here is we really love this place and their hospitality!! I give them 5 star and I would add 2 more stars to make my review as 7 starāļøāļøāļøāļøāļøāļøāļø I can’t wait till next holiday. Hope see you really soon Chris, Paul, Boffy & Tia!!

We had asked for a powered site since he told us he (Paul) offered those. The only way to do that was by running a power line to his house. Good thing we had a solar panel, because he doesn’t actually have 10 or 15 amp power to power our rental campervan, so his line didn’t actually work. We paid 15 a person and $10 extra for the power that didn’t actually power the campervan. He only accepted cash. This isn’t an actual campground, it’s someone’s back yard , basically. No name of a campground to be seen anywhere. And under the table kinda business perhaps? Not sure? We were the only ones there. The shower and toilet were reasonably ā€œcleanā€, however very basic and cheaply built. The ā€œsinkā€ was a filthy laundry tub type sink. Insulation type material is hanging down from the ceiling looking terrible. To get to the shower and toilet one has to walk through a filthy, messy garage full of junk and more junk laying around in front of it. So a nighttime bathroom trip is an accident waiting to happen. His own trucks were parked in the way for us to enter and leave. The back yard is however quite big and has nice trees. If you are completely independent, this might be okay, as long as you don’t need any of the ā€œfacilitiesā€ offered. He did offer us we would be able to charge our devices on his deck. No, we would never go back to this ā€œcampground ā€œ again. We’re not sure who would have written the three 5 star reviews prior to ours? This place has potential if the owner would do a major cleanup in his garage and build a nice bathroom, wash up area, and if he would offer the correct amps to power campervans, etc.

The owners of the place are so welcoming and lovely ! Really nice place with comfort as shower and washing machine. The prices are really affordable. If you come by swing to their place you will not be disappointed !

Great hosts, came out to show us where we can put our tent, and where the toilet and shower is even when we showed up at 9:30pm. Nice hot shower, clean toilet and fair charge.
