I wondered why the parking lot was so empty when I came up the drive.when I got to the gate the I saw why.$25 to park, first 2 hrs free.$30 in store purchase or 60 gallons of fuel to get free parking.just a typical tuck stop gouging truckers as usual.used to stop here all the time.Petro and t/a have really gone down hill.guess they are hurting for cash.with the prices inside the building no wonder they have to charge.wontbe stopping here anymore, will go down the road.you can use you ultra one points towards the parking fee in the store

The place is ok, a lot parking. But the people working in the there. Never smile always with bad attitude. I say good morning and They ignore and make customers feel uncomfortable,

Lots of free parking. Well lit lot in good condition. Guard on site. Bathrooms on each end of the parking lot. Clean. Iron Skillet and Popeyes.

As a professional driver with 40 years on the road, I’ve dealt with a lot of shops—but nothing prepared me for the sheer disrespect and dysfunction I experienced at the Petro in McCalla, Alabama. I checked in early and was the third truck in line. All I needed was two steer tires—a simple, routine job. Nothing major. No diagnostics. No complex repairs. Ten hours later, I was still waiting. Not because they were swamped—there were only three trucks ahead of me. Not because they were short on tires—they had them. Not because of anything reasonable. No… I waited because this shop runs on excuses, disorganization, and a total disregard for a trucker’s time. No communication. No updates. No professionalism. Just dead air and disinterested techs wandering around like nobody’s in charge. I’ve seen more urgency at a county fair hot dog stand. This location should be ashamed of the way it treats working drivers. We’re not asking for miracles—we’re asking for basic competence, efficiency, and the slightest bit of respect for our schedules. At this location, you’ll get none of the above. If Petro corporate is reading this: This location is damaging your reputation. If you care at all about truckers, start with McCalla. Clean house. Retrain staff. And maybe hang a sign reminding your crew that truckers don’t have ten hours to waste on a tire change. Because the next time I need service, I’ll be looking anywhere but here.
