Very poor communication from staff led to a 2 hour goose chase to find cabin keys after 10 hrs driving. Parallel cabin #9 is a beautiful cabin but has Mold all over cabin walls & ceiling, beds are harder than a mattress less cot. Pillows are nothing more than thin hospital pillows made from plastic. There wasn't even handsoap. No disclosure of ZERO phone service/WiFi. Says service is spotty, no, it's nonexistent. It snowed heavily & had ice storm -State plows drove by constantly plowing main road but 5 ranger plows drove by cabins & not one PARK RANGER PLOW plowed the cabin roads to allow access to main road, this was also not disclosed. Being handicapped I asked that the ice in drive way be tended to for safety concerns to which I was told it would be, well it wasn't. Both myself & teenage son slipped multiple times I eventually shoveled myself & purchased ice melt. I mentioned the mold & was given ZERO rectification. Being the week of Christmas other local lodging were booked leaving no option but to remain at the cabin. Very disappointed in the way this park is run & lack of concern for guest concerns/safety. I have stayed at many cabins & cottages throughout New England & beyond, most being a fraction of the cost of these cabins with much better care for their guests. Campers beware if you stay at the Parallel Cabins.

Camped at Cain Hollow in our camper. There are many cabins available as well. Clean hot showers and campsites. Everyone was very respectful during quiet hours. We will be back

I've been coming here for all 38 years of my life, and so have my folks. We've seen this park change a lot. Honestly, it just keeps getting better every year. I really dig the new bath houses, and the bear situation is way better, though I kinda miss seeing a surprise bear every now and then. Anyway, I love this place, and I always will.

It is an absolutely beautiful place to go and visit. I have been coming here with my family for over 20 years. Usually, we stay in the Quaker area, but occasionally, we will spend a couple of nights in Red House. There are plenty of trails to walk and explore. Some short and sweet, then others that are 5 plus miles stretching through the woods. They also have some that are alongside the roads, allowing you to see other camping trails and cabins without going through the woods. Where you can ride bikes, scooters, roller blades, etc. In the spring and summer. Or even use snow mobiles in the winter. Beautiful lakes for fishing where you can catch Trout, Northern Pike, and other fish. You can see black bears, deer, fox, Turkey, snakes, chipmunks, and all sorts of birds as you walk trails or drive around to see different sights. We have even seen Bobcats before, but very rare. It's also dog friendly. There are plenty of cabins to choose from. Some offer clean bathrooms with showering areas and a place to wash dishes. Worst case, you can simply walk or drive to one. They have non electric with wood burning stove & electric with gas to provide heat and I believe all have ovens and a fridge. Beautiful sights, parks you can take the kids to, a beach that is open seasonally, and a convenience store that is open except during the off-season. You can get wood delivered to your cabin typically if you don't feel like getting it yourself. My family, friends, and I have always enjoyed ourselves here. They have the Seneca Casino about 40 minutes away in Salamanca with a supermarket, dispensaries, and other things of that sort if you need to get away from nature and take a break. However, there is also a gas station upon entering the park in Quaker area that is usually open. It is an awesome place to visit and go enjoy with fun activities to enjoy for everybody. I posted some pics for sights but did not include many good ones as well as videos I have to exclude my family in them. But, if you're ever thinking about going, I highly recommend it.

This is a beautiful state park with hiking trails, lake beaches, fishing, kayaking, camping, and more. New bathrooms and shower house buildings along many trails are wonderful additions and are handicap accessible. The new miles-long bike/walking path along the main road is beautiful and meanders through the woods. So much to love here!
