We really enjoyed our time at this hidden jem. I have been going there sense I was a newly minted teenager in 1989. Take some time to hike the trails and enjoy nature. Remember if you bring to with you take it with you. We did run into so litter along the way that we policed up and took out with us. Sorry to how ever had to empty those trashcans.
Stayed at crooked river tent only campground. For whatever reason Google maps does not show this campground. It is apart of silver lake along with cypress glen. It was a nice park. Right next to the river, with hiking trails close by. Some sites were close together but my site, 65, was private and large. All sites had access to water. No electricity. Bathhouse was what you would expect from a campground. The interstate noise was constant all night long though.
Very nice Campground with water and electric 50amp. Dump station on station. Don't use Googles pin the entrance is before I75 if you are coming north on Croom Rital Rd from Hwy 98. 28.5724128, -82.2238610
Nice campground, most spots were not very long but level. 24 hr traffic noise from the highway but fishing was fun
Silver Lake Campground is beautiful. I have stayed in the tent camping section - Crooked River - multiple times. The campsites are all nice, the bathhouse has always been clean and stocked with toilet paper and paper towels. There is fresh pavement throughout the park now. The area up near Silver Lake itself has covered picnic tables, a boat ramp, and a nice covered pavilion. The RV campers are significantly closer to I75 and say the highway noise is quite loud at night, but I haven't experienced that. I love camping and kayaking here. 💕
