Rick Baker RV

STAY AWAY!!! We brought our travel trailer to Rick Bakers for some service work and a leak issue that we had in our slide out.. they kept our unit for weeks with no communication. I would drive buy and see it parked in the same spot I was told to leave it on a side street next to their lot. Weeks go buy and finally I swung in and they said they fixed it. I paid them and brought it home for a trip we had planned. I noticed our storage locks were broken from being at their location but everything seemed to be in the unit. The first night we had a little rain and the leak was still there. I called Rick and spoke with him directly and he said to bring it in. We did and then weeks later I swung by again and he flat out said they can’t figure out what was wrong with it and where it was coming from. We noticed they had a newer 5th wheel on the lot that they showed us that suited our needs so we traded our other one in. We noticed a few things with the camper that we were promised would be fixed prior to taking ownership. Ex. New Awning, two Burner stove for outdoor kitchen. When we went for the pick up nothing was done and the camper was filthy. I refused delivery until it was done. Went back again prior to a planned trip and still the items were missing but they cleaned it. I took the camper home for preparation for our 4 day trip in March with Ricks word they would take care of the items when we get back. We also noticed a large soft spot in the roof that they said they would fix. As soon as we got back Rick called to bring the camper back for the repairs and they have had it ever since with little to no communication!!! Why would they want the unit back if they didn’t have everything needed to do the work? Unless they needed parts for other campers they had at the shop!!! My wife and I tried with numerous messages to them and no call back. Two weeks ago my wife drove there and met with Rick and he said it would be done by the weekend and still nothing. I have reached out to his salesman Allen and he just tells me he will have Rick call me. Nothing! We are now hiring an attorney to handle this situation.

Our experience couldn't have been more frustrating and remains so. Our RV was towed for repairs they should have made, yesterday. From a breach of contract terms, to lousy prep on our coach, Rick and his crew couldn't bother to communicate with us and only reluctantly did so after repeated phone calls and emails. They have been given two months to make it right, but we have heard nothing. Nothing. We can't recommend them at all, which is a shame; we like to support small businesses and had such high hopes for the last locally owned RV dealer in the area. If we are not alone, and from other reviews, we are not, they unfortunately might very well be the last.

Rick Baker was GREAT to work with! He purchased my RV outright from me without me purchasing anything from his company, because I purchased from a private owner. He gave me a VERY fair price for it, much better than the big RV places in the area. I will absolutely be back to service my new (to me) RV! Thanks, Rick!

Easy going....especially compared to the bigger more corporate places. Rick handled the sale personally from beginning to end. Overall....he sold me a great product at a great price. I will recommend this place to anyone looking to purchase a new or used RV. UPDATE: Since the previous sale we have now gone back and added an additional unit to our fleet. Same great price, same great service!!!! We had a small issue with the new unit. Rick and his staff put us head of line and go the unit back to me in less than 2 days. They recognized that we use our trailers for our business and expedited the repair as quickly as possible. Thanks guys for the great service!!

The wife and I live in Jacksonville and researched and visited different RV dealers for over 6 months. We drove to what seems like dozens of dealerships ranging from Jacksonville, Florida to Columbia, South Carolina in search of a good deal. We finally stumbled on Rick Baker's RV and the personal service along with the phenomenal deal could not be beat anywhere else. They also have an accessories shop that features items you won't find at ANY other RV dealer. Great people. Started out giving them a 5 star review. The sale was great... but that's as far as it goes. Normally your camper comes with a warranty... good luck getting these jokers to fix any issues you have. They'll keep your camper for months and then return it the same way you dropped it off. DO NOT BUY NEW FROM THIS COMPANY.
