A great spot right on the Clarence river . Right in the heart of town , close to shops and restaurants, and short stroll to Whiting Beach for a calm water swim or a 3 minute walk to surf beach . Great walking /cycling tracks .Lots of great fishing spots.Farmers markets on beachfront every wednesday with fantastic array of local produce. Caravan park is old but clean and a nice swimming pool. Nice restaurants to choose from .Very reasonably priced !! Will be back .

The kitchen "facilities" were very meh for $44/night (unpowered camp site). We would have camped else where had we been properly informed of the BBQ set up. Besides that though the location is great, staff were friendly and polite and the amenities for both genders were clean an seemed well maintained.

A nice park most of the year but staying in the summer holidays was a bad idea with a 20ft caravan. Was very crammed in, we were lucky the site behind us was empty so we could drive through as there was no way we were reversing our van in, there were cars parked on the road, tents and campers were parked up right up to the edge of the road. We took up 1 and a half sites trying to squeeze into one. Beautiful spot though, right on the water, lovely staff! Will stay again but not in the van.

The campground itself was nicely kept and in an extremely convenient location, however, the bathroom facilities were mouldy and dirty. It was also disappointing that considering they advertise no pets during the peak season, someone’s off leash dog wandered through our campsite and growled at us. It was also disappointing that our “neighbours” thought it was appropriate to use drugs and blast inappropriate music on Christmas Day, when families and kids were nearby. Overall, an unpleasant experience.

Had a beautiful long weekend here recently (October 2025), first time staying at this park. Plenty to do for the kids. They enjoyed fishing along the river, scootering and swimming. I love how everything was in walking distance and you really don't need to get in the car at all. Convenience store and local cafes and shops located right outside the Park. Amenities were cleaned daily, the shower wait did get a little busy at times but nothing rediculous and we were there in a peak time. I can't rate the rooms because we were camping in our own tents but overall give it a 4 to 5 star rating. Unfortunately not a full 5 because of the midgies.
