This caravan park is a gem! Tucked away in beautiful bushland, near gorgeous beaches. Toni, Grahame and Nui were so friendly, helpful and accommodating! Would love to go back one day!
Called to make a booking after checking availability online as we are after two sites side by side. Informed that only 7 night bookings (Friday to Friday or Saturday to Saturday) acceptable during school holidays yet that information or restriction isn’t available online. Poor form from management not providing that information upfront on their marketing channels (website, socials) and restricting bookings to the limitations they’ve adopted
What an Absolutely gem! We loved our stay at Grassy Head from the amazing management and friendly staff to the beautiful scenery and clean camp grounds. We are frequent travellers up and down our beautiful coast and must say this is a new favourite. Tony and Grahame keep this place immaculate! The bathrooms were always incredibly clean and I felt very comfortable taking my daughter into them to use the facilities. Grahame is always working in the gardens or doing regular cleaning in the Bathroom and laundry. Tony is incredibly helpful and accomodating and was very kind and friendly. It is a very peaceful camp ground and still feels really undercrowded and unspoilt and the wildlife is there in abundance to admire from afar. The beach is beautiful and clean and Scotts Head is just around the corner and we checked out a local Artist- Little Black Swan Art, who has a beautiful home art galery of all the local things to admire in art form. All in all 5 stars from us. We have already booked our next stay and can't wait to head back to the beautiful Grassy Head park.
I’ve got to agree with previous reviews, this is a wonderful little corner of Australia. No shops; no houses (to speak of), just natural bushland and ocean. Yes, the park is grassy and shady, and there are goannas that will usually keep their distance. It is dog friendly and there is a kids playground in the ‘Day Visitor’ area. And the beach; WOW! Clean, not crowded, lots of sand, and an easy 5 minute walk over a coastal dune to the viewing platform overlooking the beach. This place remains an undiscovered, under-developed gem. Let’s keep it that way! Oh, and BTW, the lady at the office is very helpful and amenable. I guess her idyllic lifestyle puts her in a good mood every morning. We’ll be back with our van.
Nice campground and structure and really close to the beach too. Watch out for the check out hours they'll go and tell ya about it. You may find a tree goana roaming the campsites, do be mindful of food laying around and open tents.
