This place has become our very first choice when driving from Ohio to the Gulf coast. The clubhouse and the private bath showers are straight out of a beach condo. My husband loves the giant double size level concrete slabs and stone fire pits. Tennis courts, dog park, beautiful fountains. One of the best things is its proximity to I-65 is less than a mile. This is a very very well kept park. We meet the nicest campers and their pets at this park. Highly recommend. Staff is five star. Great camp store with lots of merchandise.
We stayed one night in our RV. The pull through site was long enough for our RV and toad. The area where our RV sat was level concrete. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms and showers were very nice. We would stay here again.
We had winterized our rig so needed to use the bath house. We were given a site as close as you can get to the VERY clean facility. The site was spot on level too! Reservationist was pleasant and, having been a camp host, pleasant is very much appreciated; as is the obvious attention to the facilities by maintenance. We stayed in January for an overnight stop.
A little late on the review. We stayed last spring on the way north from Alabama. Had planned a Harvest host but grateful for this little campground. Grounds were clean, sites were spaced nicely, hookups worked without issue. Actually looking at stopping back in again this coming spring. And Ethos brewery is just down the street. Great little place
My family and I found Palomino RV Resort as a convenient overnight stop on our way to Florida. It’s super easy to get to right off I-65. We arrived later in the evening, and our check-in paperwork was waiting for us outside the office, which made things really simple. The map and instructions were easy to follow, and our pull-through site (Site 32) was spacious enough for our 40' RV and tow car. We liked it so much that we decided to book a site again on our way back. The only one available was a buddy site (Site 40). When we arrived, someone else had parked in our reserved spot. After an 8-hour drive, that’s not something you want to deal with, but the camp host was great and quickly helped us get it resolved. From what we understood, the other guest had a reservation for the weekend Fri- Sun and showed up early on Thursday. Aside from that little hiccup, the resort itself is really nice clean showers and restrooms, laundry facilities, and a fun game room to hang out in. Having an on-site camp host made a big difference. They are adding more sites as you enter which is where you will see gravel and dirt. But the main area is nicely done. Overall, Palomino is a clean, convenient, and well-maintained resort that we’d definitely stay at again.
