I would absolutely never return to this place, I was almost turned away from my booking because I was going to be sleeping in my car (I’m a solo female traveller and prefer to pay to stay in powered/unpowered sites while I sleep in my car to be safer) I argued with the managers wife about what the differences was between me sleeping in my car and someone sleeping in a caravan they towed here? I also mentioned how I’ve car camped across Queensland, NSW and Victoria in caravan parks and have never had an issue. She reluctantly let me keep my prepaid booking with an eye roll and I left the office. Not even 10 minutes later a guy walked up to my car who identified himself as the manager, just to tell me ‘as you have apparently camped so much you should know you need to reverse your car into the site for fire safety.’ I told him I’d never heard such a rule before and the lady at the office did not inform me that was a rule at this caravan park. After he drove away I left to get food and when I returned a few more caravans had pulled up and almost all of their cars where parked forward facing. I saw the same manager drive around the caravan site at least twice before it got dark and not once did he tell any of the other campers to reverse their cars. I’m leaving my site a day early because I have never felt more unwelcome and uncomfortable in a caravan park in all my years of camping. Zero stars if I could.
Stayed overnight in cabin 17. It was perfect. Spacious, clean and peaceful good sleep. Will recommend and stay here again next year.
This was a great experience! For five people it didn’t feel crowded, the kitchen and room was a good size, and the appliances worked well. The communal bathrooms were really really clean as well as the pool whenever we went. It was a good distance from Cole’s woolies and the zoo as well. The only thing was when we entered our room bathroom the sink had coffee like stains. Otherwise great!!
The room was nice and clean. The staff were very helpful - they helped us carry our stuff to the cabin. There was no TV in the bedroom, only in the living room. The only problem was the noise, especially when the wind was strong. Lots of things fell on the roof - it sounded like nuts, and maybe a possum or some animals walking on the roof. It kept us awake at night. We didn't sleep well during our stay, we kept waking up because of the loud noise.
We stayed 4 nights, the cabin was clean and tidy, it's a friendly place to stay. We only had a couple of issues: 1. The furniture was very out dated and well used( not at all comfortable to sit on). 2. The beds were very hard because of the board under the well used thin mattresses. 3. The exhaust fan in the bathroom needed a good clean. 4. The screen door has seen its day needs a new 1.
