Second Valley Caravan Park

Was a nice quiet little park we had a unsuited camping site wich was very good

I used the Coast is Calling voucher and paid only $60 for two nights, but even then this stay was awful. This is honestly the worst cabin I’ve ever stayed in. The location is great, super close to Second Valley Beach, but everything else was terrible: 1. The whole cabin smelled musty, and the bathroom had a strong old urine smell. It didn’t feel cleaned at all, and I woke up every morning with a sore throat. 2. The heater blew out a really bad smell. 3. I even saw a cockroach on the bed, first time ever in my life. 4. Worst part: a big dog pooped right at my door. The smell rushed into the cabin and when I opened the door, tons of flies and bugs came in. A young staff member came quickly to clean most of it, but that actually made the smell spread even faster. I honestly started gagging. And I can't find any staff when I back from the beach, so we have to bear with that for the whole night. If you’re thinking about booking this place, please think twice. You’re meant to enjoy your holiday, not suffer through it.

Good old fashioned caravan park set in a lovely seaside town. Booking was easy, service was good. Reasonably maintained grounds but amenities could do with an upgrade. Cabin was basic but clean and comfortable and most importantly pet friendly. Shop sells basic supplies , bait , tackle and souvenirs.Also 10 litre casks of water as onsite tap water is not potable. Short walk to jetty and scenic walking trails. Jetty was quiet, algal blooms affecting fish stocks - no squid but reports of occasional salmon being caught

We only wanted to stay one night as we were going on a fishing charter the next morning, We got in late and left very early, I noticed that the place needs a good deep clean, The pillows on the bed with soft old and lumpy, I think $174. for a few hours sleep is over Priced for caravan Park that’s rundown. And because we were only staying the one night we got charged an extra $20, Internet didn’t even work there

I was apprehensive about booking given the recent reviews but didn't really have any alternative for the area. So glad I did. Maybe we got it cheaper than others but for $103 for a studio cabin I was very happy. Was it perfect? No. But for the price and location i.habe no complaints really. Quiet, good wifi. Comfortable beds and pillows. Cleanliness seemed ok to me maybe my standards are lower than others. I guess you're also reliant on how well the previous occupants left it. About the only thing I'd say is they provided two little cartons of milk which was greatly appreciated but some tea and coffee to go with it would be nice. Would definitely stay again if in the area
