The staff was counting the days for winter shut down. We had a nice stall with a great view of the mountain side for a day then they put a big class A next to us. There was not room to walk around the picnic table with their slide out. And there 4 more empty stalls on the other side of this big A. And yes the Rest Rooms need updating & had one stall plugged. I notified them & they thought I did it.

This is a very nice RV park. It is quiet except for the occasional train that goes by a couple of blocks away. No train horns. Easy walking distance to town. The manager and staff are friendly and helpful. The four stars are because it is an older park and the bathrooms could use a good refresher but everything works. They have a variety of spaces for every type of RV. There is also cable TV.

Overall, this was a nice place to stay. Walking distance to the town of Medora. Approx 2 miles from the South Unit entrance to Theodore Roosevelt National park. The sites were close together, but we still had room to park our truck, use our grill, and sit out in the chairs. The staff were so nice! They personally took us to our site. Bathroom/showers were always clean. Complaints: my only complaint was no dog run or area to take your dog to go to the bathroom. Ours needs a little more space to do his thing. The only other complaint was the stall door latches in the men’s room did not work. They did not work on any door! The stall door would open by itself while you were in the shower and someone would open the door if you were using the toilet. I really enjoyed this campground. We stayed on a Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and left Sunday. Every night a gentleman would play music for you up by the office building. I would definitely recommend this campground!

We stayed here for 3 nights while exploring the area. The campground is older and fairly basic with sites close together. We lucked out with a site further at the end and near a wi-fi tower (site 45). We had great wi-fi and a little more space than many sites. Parking of tow vehicles could be a problem but the management is strict on the parking, which is a good thing - otherwise roads could be difficult to go down. Staff was very helpful and nice. Laundry is on site. Easy walk into town. Close to the National Park. Didn't notice any highway noise, just an occasional distant train which didn't blow their whistle! Would stay here again.

These folks can be hard to reach by phone, so start calling for reservations at least 2 - 3 days in advance. Campground, in general. Is a bit rundown. Lots of stuff- of all varieties - in the store but 20% appears to have been there quite a few years. Frozen and fresh local goods but prices not well marked. Few if any pull-through sites, but greeter did great job helping us back in (which we hate to do!) Store has great hours - till 11 pm! 24/7 laundry room, but its floor needs scrubbing. Restrooms are oddly configured and dated, but clean. About 50/50 permanent and travelers and sites are close but reasonable. Picnic tables have seen better days. If you don't pay the extra $3/Dy for cable, you can't get anything at all on TV Perfect location - literally in the shadows of the Badlands - for walking to many local Medora attractions and short drive (2 mi) to the Chateau and to the national park entrance. Owner/Manager is a fascinating and chatty woman. She's got tons of knowledge to share about Medora. The other office staffer (her daughter, maybe?) is on the rude side.
