We were treated like criminals. Called us trash because we ride motorcycles.
There is a small subset of people for whom this park is perfect. Anyone looking for a cheap, no questions asked, no background check sort of place to hide away or live on the cheap will do well here. The residents appeared friendly and quiet, though I didn't spend enough time here to get to know them well. Many have lived at Waco RV Park for years without much issue. However, if you're an RV'er looking for an RV park, this place is badly named and it isn't for you. The amenities are post apocalyptic if they exist at all, and the shower house is often horrendous. Some of the residents who use it put their used toilet paper in the trash cans rather than flush it. Crap and urine seeps onto the floor and whoever does this doesn't care to clean up after themselves. This isn't an issue if your camper has its own restroom, but by God, you better have one or be willing to step in human waste while taking a midnight piss. There are no refunds except for the electric deposit, so be ready to burn your money along with your memories of the restrooms when you leave. Can't give it one star though. It did have its charms and like I said, it is good for the down-and-out or the ultra thrifty to have a peaceful place to live.
Honestly chose this place because it had a pool, no bad reviews, a lot of room for my dog, and I couldn’t find any place that had openings that seemed any better. The people here and manager are super friendly! I always feel safe. The pool is great other than not having any lounge chairs. The road noise hasn’t been an issue for me. I hear the train every once in a while, but nothing too annoying to deal with. So now onto the downsides…… the grass is almost always high. I swear the pool is locked more than it isn’t. I got tired of being disappointed every time I went to the pool and I couldn’t get in, so I started checking before I got ready. I would check, it would be unlocked, I would go back, get ready, and go back to find it locked again for what appears to be no reason. I asked the manager if there were specific hours it was open and to my surprise there’s not, it’s just always under chemical maintenance. I like it here other than that.
I have lived in this RV park for four years! It's super quiet, clean, and as close to country living as you can get for an RV park! The pool is nice and well kept, there is a large lighted pavilion with tables and chairs, games and a grill! There is a laundry room and public bathroom and showers by the pool! There is an open field for your dogs to run and play, the road around the park is perfect for walking to exercise yourself and your dogs! The park is very convenient to town, The Silos, H‑E‑B, Balylor campus, Cameron Park Zoo, Hawaiian Falls Waterpark, and just about any restaurant you can think of! The manager, Shannon is super sweet and is always willing to help out! She works hard to keep the park clean and well manicured. She is here during the early morning and late afternoons because she works outside in the heat keeping the place clean and well kept! But, if you need her she’s just a phone call away! I have never had any trouble of any kind here and would recommend this park to everyone! It’s super quiet and peaceful out here!
I have done a lot of posting for Google , and I've never written such a long comment. Please take the time to read it if you're going to stay at Waco RV Park . Just stayed two nights at Waco Park RV in Waco Texas. I am trying to figure out how this park managed to get four stars! This park is designed for people who don't have a house and are working. It is an extremely quiet Park, however, you are right on the highway and enjoy the cacophony of trucks going through the night plus a bonus of a train who likes to blow its horn . There are a couple of sites available for travelers going through Waco for a day or two. To begin with nobody greeted us, we did the circle around the park could not find the office, as a matter of fact, there are no signs that say office. We were told by the full-timers, to phone and someone would come out. So after returning to the beginning of the park we phoned. A head peeked through closed curtains and mumbled okay I'm coming out, and came to our truck. He seemed to have had either a couple of drinks, a couple of smokes or just woke up. Not quite sure. He said yep I got you a site and when we looked we could figure out where the site was because they don't look like sites. I asked how much, because it was said on the internet to be $35, and he said I'll take 27 per night. I was leary to give them my credit card and I had $25 (50 for 2 days)cash in my purse and he said okay I'll take that. The laundry facility has two washing machines one dryer and when broken dryer not the cleanest I've ever seen. One shower was out of order the other I dare not walk in. The pool has no water and what is in it is green and you can tell that maintenance on the sites have not been done. The only thing that we could see had been done was mowing the lawn, however, no whipper snipping as we had to dig to find our sewer hookup and water hookup. It is a dog-friendly park, there were several dogs, however there are no dog runs. We saw some children when we arrived, however there is no play Park. Several RVs have put up balconies, however there doesn't seem to be rules as to what you can or cannot have on your site. If you want a really cheap cheap night with nothing and I mean nothing no cable or Wi-Fi not even a manager and you can probably negotiate it to 25 bucks a night then that's the place for you if you're going through for a night or 2 it could work for you. We won't be going back there again. Check out the pictures. The White House is supposed to be the office. You'll see Mounds that's grass growing on them they've been there awhile. When you see clear gravel don't be fooled they aren't Pat's, it's the road that leads around the park. You'll note that there's tall grass all over the place around campers. All the campers you see and the pictures are full-timers we were the only ones traveling through and stayed two nights.
