Duck Island RV Park & Fishing Resort is outstanding. Several fishing piers provide easy access to the Sacramento River, they also have a cleaning station. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. LP refill service is timely, just set your tank in front of your camper. Beautiful sight right on the river with RV pads of level gravel and asphalt for your tow vehicle and a concrete pad with picnic table at each sight. I believe the maximum trailer length is 42-feet. There is separate parking for a second vehicle. We camped at Duck Island RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
My family had such an amazing time! All of our kids are grown these days but we still like to simplify Thanksgiving so the last few years we have been going camping and it has been great. Our host was amazing and the community Thanksgiving dinner surpassed our expectations. I spent most of my free time on the dock pulling striper outta the river! Can't wait for the next trip.
We love this place. Safe, secure, no one under 18 allowed. Most relaxing place you can visit.
Giving this place a 3.5. Alot of full timers. We got lucky and had no side neighbors but if we did it would have been super tight. Another thing there’s no community restroom/ or showers. Laundry on site. Amazing views and pier right behind our site. Fishing was a miss, all were under 12 inches oh well! You can hear the highway it’s very close. Overall we had a nice and relaxing stay.
Probably one of the best RV Resorts you will find, primarily due to location and size. Our stay was 2 months for work, but we wish it was longer. The park is about 60/40% full time residents/ available spaces for weekenders, around 50 sites total. Very friendly community, definitely a park where you learn your neighbors, plus the full timers will have events in the clubhouse (like a projector and potluck for superbowl). If you are on the waters edge, it's easily the best park around, gorgeous sunsets over the river ever night. Plenty of grass for pets in all sites. The park has a solar farm on-site and power is included in the monthly rent. Quiet, gated, safe. Cons: -Small laundry facility (4 washers/dryers) with difficult access to quarters (sometimes office will have them) -Won't affect most people, but no on-site bathrooms/showers, it's expected and told that your rig is to be self sufficient. -Can get very windy. Across the river is one of the largest wind farms in the country, there's a reason for it being placed there and no buffer, like trees, exists between you and the wind. -Close proximity to a major drawbridge, which can result in long/dead stopped traffic along all routes in and out. Overall, the cons are minimal compared to how beautiful and peaceful it is in this park. Would highly recommend!
