Lake Callide Retreat & Caravan Park

Cabins are terrific. Great views of lake callide (with the dirty power station on the horizon). Peaceful and great for a quick stop over (as we did) or longer if you are into fishing/watersports.

It is a great place to relax and unwind. There is a caravan park with cabins as well. You can also camp off grid in a very spacious grassed area. There are no toilet facilities in the off grid section, so you must be self-contained. You are close to the lake and dam. You can fish in the lake for Barramundi and other varieties of fresh water fish and crustaceans. Boating activities are permitted on the lake. It is about 15 minutes out of Biloela where you can shop or enjoy a nice lunch or dinner.

Spent a few weeks here. Its not a glam place, if thats what you want go some where else. It is a boating fishing/fun place, tried fishing from the shore, after multiple turtles I gave up. The place is small, the amenities are basic but well kept. Would I stay here again? I went for fishing so without a boat no.

Thoroughly enjoyed a recent four-night stay in January 2024. The cabin was well set up with all essentials including air con, living room, kitchen, and a little laundry. Matt, the caretaker was very helpful with providing kayak hire and offering some local fishing tips. Ended up landing two barra at 99cm and 93cm. Some great fishing and kayaking opportunities within a 15 minute walk from the cabins. Hope to return again one day!

Great place! It has an amazing view and gorgeous surroundings. I stayed in a single bedroom cabin and it was modern with more than I expected! The kitchen has everything you need, as does the bathroom/laundry. It’s air conditioned, which is great because it does get hot during the days. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable and the shower curtain needed replacing, but it does have a private car park. Definitely would stay here again!
