We had a wonderful stay at One Tree Hill, South Gippsland. We were a group of six people with a dog, and the space was perfect for us. The views are absolutely breathtaking — a full 360° panorama of Wilsons Prom, the Strzelecki Ranges, rolling green hills, and even the sea. Truly one of the most stunning locations we’ve stayed at. The house itself is very spacious and well set up, with three bedrooms — a master bedroom with an attached bathroom and two additional bedrooms sharing a bathroom. The living and kitchen area with a fireplace was cozy and perfect for relaxing while enjoying the view. The kitchen is well equipped with utensils, plates, glasses, and basic appliances, making it easy to cook and feel at home. The decks around the property offer incredible views from every angle; however, the wind can be quite strong, which made it difficult to stay outside for long periods. At night, the wind noise can also be quite noticeable, making sleep a bit challenging at times. The property is pet friendly (with a fee), which we really appreciated. Overall, a beautiful and peaceful stay with unbeatable views — perfect for a scenic getaway.
View was spectacular. Hit a snag with the check-in process but Sarah was able to rectify for us pretty swiftly.
We visited this villa in order to escape suburbia and celebrate a birthday. The views at this villa were phenomenal and absolute serenity. Unfortunately it ended there, our stay ended on an extremely sour note as we were abused from the house cleaner for not departing the villa on time. This also included being called !!!PIGS!!! on our way out from her seeing dishes in the sink which were washed and standing to dry!! This lead to an argument and a very disappointing and outraged end to our stay. This house cleaner should maybe watch her mouth and focus on the cleanliness of the villa as the oven was filthy, freezer was dirty, pantry smelt and was a nice long hair in the cutlery draw. We called the owner of the villa on the way out to advise them of our encounter and we are yet to receive a phone call back. Will not stay here again nor recommend!
The view is amazing, but unfortunately the accommodation is not. We were on our honeymoon and really tried to remain positive about the whole experience, but sadly our stay was ruined by the property not being cleaned. Someone else’s hair all over the bathroom, cobwebs covering the filthy windows that ruined the view from the inside, and dishes stored in the cupboards that hadn’t been cleaned, were just some of the problems we encountered. We spent the first half hour of our stay vacuuming the place (with a provided vacuum) because of how dirty the floors were. The locks and blinds on some of the doors to the property were broken and a floorboard was sticking out. The bed however, was comfortable, there was plenty of firewood provided and as previously mentioned, the view is incredible. It’s such a shame, because this is a lovely area and the host really respected our privacy. I would recommend bringing a tent and camping if you want to experience the view, otherwise hopefully the place receives some TLC to bring it up to scratch.
Wow! What an amazing place! Amazing views a full 360 degrees. You feel like you're on top of the world. John and his pal George (the dog) make for a warm welcome and leave you to it. We pitched a tent and took in the surrounds. We were also able to take our dogs and I'm pretty sure they loved being out and about too. Highly, highly recommend this place. A hidden gem that meets any expectations and certainly makes the impact of wanting to come back for sure.
