Perfect little spots. Electric and water hookup. Very safe quiet in neighborhood. Great spot to fish right from your campsite that backs to river. $40 for the night. Probably best for 35’ and shorter rigs but larger can fit in some. Camp host was great, recommended restaurants. Great neighborhood to scooter, school around corner for kids to play. Train a block away so some whistling at night but otherwise campground is silent. Seems to fill up on summer weekends with local reservations coming to fish. Weekday plenty of spots open. I thought it was a tad high priced for no amenities at town campground, no playground or things but they’ve obviously put a lot of work into it recently and it was safe and quiet just what we wanted. Many state and county parks are less. Short walk to restaurants.
Great Campground and Scott is an absolute great Campground Host! Bummer that the pier is closed, sounds like it has been i for awhile, looks like an easy fix.. Come on city of Floodwood, do your thing and fix it.
Nice small town municipal campground! Perfect for a one night stop if you're passing through. Well maintained. Water and 30/50 amp service. No sewer hook up at site, but has dump station. There isn't a lot to do in town for any extended stay, but you can do some fishing at the fishing dock right at the campground. Cozy.
This small (14 sites) campground is set on the banks of the St. Louis River and is very quiet. These are water/electric sites on gravel pads set in a forest. Getting a Star Link to work is iffy at best. The dump station fee is included in your camp fee of $40. The bathhouse has 2 toilet/shower suites, one for men and one for women. Stayed for 2 nights and I’d stay here again.
The camp hosts were friendly and the scenery astounding.. but it ended there, for me. It's a small campground.. maybe 20 sites... on the northern outskirts of town, along the St Louis River. Trails to the river are steep and sandy... There is only 1 bathroom bldg. To enter you need a code. The ladies' room needs much work as there is no space between the curtain and your knees (and I'm short). The flooring looks very old. One shower stall which can be a problem as only one person can be in the bathroom unless family... So, a 10 min shower will keep you waiting and waiting. There is no water faucet to transport water.. only the bathroom faucet. But, if all you want is to put up for one night it's not bad... Quiet time is 10-8. Tenting is rather inexpensive as , at the present time, it is $20 per site. We even heard a pack of wolves chasing down a midnight meal
