I cant’t say enough good things about the owners and the campground itself. Amazing people! The sites are clean and well-maintained, it's absolutely beautiful here, the creek adds a touch of aww to an already beautiful place. Peaceful! ✨🤲🏼
I live local to this campground. In May, I purchased a motorhome to stay in up north while helping a family member with stage 4 cancer. My son and I needed to practice setting it up in a campground, and then getting it ready for departure. At the same time, AT hikers who I helped last year notified me they were coming to the area for a section hike. Perfect! I offered to let them stay in the RV instead of a hostel. I explained the situation to the campground owners. They were very understanding and accommodating. We got the RV backed in and hooked up and the hikers settled in. In the morning, they were able to tell us a few things that didn't work that we later fixed. The campground was very peaceful - no loud, partiers to ruin their camping experience. I chalk that up to the owners running a tight ship and not allowing for that sort of thing.
Great place. I decided to bug out for the 4th of July weekend. I had no reservations. I showed up before they opened on the 5th. One of the campers was helpful and the owner came quickly. He was very helpful and nice. After check in he helped out with my parking, and leveling. It looks tight getting in and out. My 5th wheel is 42'5" and I had no trouble at all. If you want a quiet place, this is it.
Keep Driving Don’t Stop Owner is a terse woman who asks a lot of questions and has many rules. Her husband insisted we park our small travel trailer his way. The restroom/shower was not available. The men’s side stated “Closed for Winter” even though it was springtime in mid April. The women’s side posted “Not open to people who have their own facilities”. We believe the restroom restrictions/discriminations are to keep people out so they don’t have to clean them. We were being watched and/or photographed the entire visit. Creepy. Did not feel welcome or safe. We paid $54 for ten hours of electric service at a level site. Not worth it. No southern hospitality here!
Not designed for big rigs, though many were there. If you like rustic camping in a wooded mountain setting, you will love it. The owner helps you into your site, but it is tight with trees for larger RVs and getting out was a little challenging. The setting is very picturesque and quiet. It was a pleasant stay for the one night we were there.
