About 18 minutes out of town- cracking pub around the corner sells great steaks( proper good). Amenities are clean and has a pool( Christ knows why, Canberra is as cold as a mother-in-law’s stare)- kids loved the soccer pitch in the tennis court , mini golf and basketball ball- we really liked it . This will be where we stay from now on
I absolutely loved my stay here. The staff were very accommodating and welcoming, I extended my stay twice and they fixed the booking with a smile. The park itself is lovely, good facilities, quiet, safe and friendly. The dog freedom sites are fabulous, all the sites were roomy and comfortable. Quick drive into Canberra. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Canberra or passing through.
Early January camping holiday - Positives - clean and tidy park and pleasant large treed camping sites, friendly service; noted that for those taking dogs, there are special fenced in sites which seems like a great idea to let your dog roam in your own fenced site. Negatives - amenities block could use an update; no shade over pool area; on a hot day I was looking forward to a morning swim before it was too hot and before kids hop in the pool - still being cleaned at 8.30 am; although not the fault of the park - the location is a 20 minute drive to main Canberra attractions as a sightseer. Overall, the park looks clean and tidy with many bins placed around.
Really tidy little park. It has enough to keep the kids occupied for some adult p & q and it's close to Canberra city and all its activities. We used this as a base to stay in our campervan and explore Canberra and it was perfect for that. Things are a little dated but still tidy, and it's a friendly little park that's very reasonably priced. We would definitely stay here again.
ATTENTION Dog Owners!! BEST caravan site EVER at Capital Country Holiday Park!!! While I understand why dogs have to be on a lead at all times in a caravan park, I imagine it's confusing for our pup to always have to be restrained outside when she's used to running around at home. When I looked up this caravan park in Canberra and saw they had "Dog Freedom Sites" I was intrigued and excited. At only $10/night extra we got an enormous fenced in site which fit our caravan plus a huge area for our dog to run around in. My 8 year old really enjoyed playing with her outside and our dog clearly enjoyed it too, as evidenced by her constant zoomies every day! Well done Capital Country on such a progressive vision for travelling pet owners 🐕🐩🦮🐕🦺
