We were just there for picnic. It had everything we needed, including a place to wash dishes. Beach was big and clean. Change rooms and showers. We were there at the end of the season, and mid week. It was quite and beautiful.
one of the best campsites ive ever stayed at, densely wooded for privacy with paved, well maintained roads. restrooms are plentiful with grey water disposal drains directly outside. the beach is covered in soft sand and you can wade out quite far before it gets too deep. perfect for kids to play.
The nicest campground we've ever been to. Beautiful area. The sandpit campground have the best sites. They are well shaded and spaced well. The staff are kind and there to answer questions but not all up in your business. Nice bathrooms and showers that are well kept and cleaned daily. The beautiful beach is big enough to accommodate a full campground as well as day users without feeling over crowded. We were too early ( late July) to see kokanee spawning but we did have a cute young black bear scoot through our site without disturbing anything. We'll definitely be back
Honestly this is probably the best park in the BC park system in some categories. Great staff, cleanest male washrooms I have ever seen in a park outside Japan. You can go to a sandy beach, go for a walk in the forest, or walk along the beach on a nice grassy trail. Beautiful rivers feed that lake. They have a world class nature centre that sells fresh incredible coffee in the morning and also fresh pastries! It also has good showers, you can rent canoes and water equipment. Separate space for dogs and kids (if you are lucky with your bookings). It is just a really beautiful and well run park. Do not miss this gem
Such a wonderful campground with great amenities. They have hot showers and flush toilets in clean buildings throughout the campgrounds. They have a wonderful education centre that has a ton of information on the local flora and fauna, theirs bear skins and skulls and a full library and knowledge to be pursued at your leisure. The staff at the campground is awesome, so nice, knowledgeable and accommodating. The beaches are only a short walk from the campsites and surprisedly big with beautiful sand, as well as very well maintained. I don’t think I saw a single piece of trash there. The beach is very shallow as there is a sand bar that runs the entire length of the beach. Great for paddle boarding in the morning or evening, as the afternoon can get really windy. I highly recommend staying here if you have a family.
