Our caravan had to be repaired and we travel with a dog like most people our dog is great company for us and we enjoy taking him away However due to our caravan needing repairs I had to sleep in a tent with my dog and my wife slept in a cabin The caravan park is operated by the council and there stance is no dogs in cabins which I must say is a bit strange as many people travel with dogs and are happy to pay extra for the convenience of a cabin which in turn helps the revenue of the town which really could benefit from it The above situation only deters people from travelling here and visiting here Not rubbishing a beautiful place to stay and visit it absolutely is just something that can be done and handled better for the community interest in regards to tourism Had we were allowed to stay together with our dog in the cabin I would’ve given a much better rating
Great place. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Overlooking the Lake
Overall happy with the facilities and location. Great camp kitchen setup and toilets and showers were clean. Most importantly there was good hot flowing showers! Only issue was a dog yelping all night in the neighbouring houses.
We stayed in one of the cabins while there did seem to be some reasonable cabins I’m afraid our was well passed its use by date .many of the problems were past being able to be fixed. There was also a sign in ours stating if the cabin was left dirty there was a $280 cleaning fee which seemed excessive.
We stayed here over the Easter long weekend with our van and swags. The park does offer cabins that look good. The park is in a great spot, walking distance to the lake which has a fantastic walking track around it. The park is spacious and easy to navigate. Unfortunately the lawns are nonexistent and there is a lot of prickles everywhere. I do believe a new lady has just taken over so hopefully she will try and get that sorted. The ammenities are dated but clean. There is a camp kitchen and fire pit that could use a bit of tlc. Hopefully they have made some small improvements before we return.
