Great Circle Campground

I’ve been coming here for many years, and it’s just not the same anymore. The atmosphere has completely changed, and it feels like the people running it don’t really care about the campers or the place itself. The friendliness, the upkeep, and the sense of community that once made this campground special are all gone. It’s really sad to see what it’s turned into…. definitely not what it used to be.

This place has completely fallen apart. The new owners have turned what used to be a family-friendly campground into an absolute nightmare. The owners are rude, confrontational, and completely unprofessional — yelling, swearing, and belittling guests. Everything that made this campground special is gone. The community feel, the friendly atmosphere, the clean facilities — all replaced by hostility, neglect, and chaos. Bathrooms are filthy, rules are inconsistent, and it’s clear that customer experience is not important to new ownership.

Campers Beware! The male owner is extremely rude and often yells, swears, and speaks inappropriately—even around young children. Sadly, his wife supports this behavior. It’s never acceptable to treat people the way he does. This campground was once a warm, family-friendly place, but it has gone downhill under their management. Many campers feel like they’re walking on eggshells, afraid they’ll be the next target of his outbursts. Bathrooms and showers are often locked, the pavilion is dirty and poorly maintained, and their dog is unfriendly toward both people and other dogs. Truly disappointing to see what has happened to a place that once felt like home.

Not what your camping experience should be…the male owner is rude, disrespectful, and completely unbecoming of a campground host— showers…yep, but the he prefers to lock them, porta pots…yep, but locks them too…camp store…yep, good luck getting service, need ice? Ice machine never has bags of ice, horrible customer service. His wife openly condones his rude behavior and they both lack any skills required to serve the camping customers and their needs. It is crystal clear this is how they choose to run the place. Ya, look elsewhere. When you pull in, it looks like a junkyard…old construction equipment parked for years covered in blue shrink wrap is one of the first things you see upon arrival, overall its a dirty unkept park. Why? They cant keep help because they are rude to staff as well. Your camping experience should be one of relaxation and having a pleasant, welcoming host. Unfortunately, you will not find that at the great circle campground. Stay away and look elsewhere!

Nice big place to camp clean not sure on bathrooms or any other places in campground. My fault I agreed to camp in front of playground kids and adults was far from being nice also male owner was very rub and my eyes not good place to camp. My recommendation would be to check other places before going to Great Circle Campground. Kids would run through our camp site adults walking there dogs came into our site , like it was ok. No camp etiquette no where was it stated in rules not mention about do not pass through camp sites. Most people there was nice very nice. Was very happy to see kids out playing at play ground. Proper etiquette would have been appropriate. I seen most people from from big city south of m46 inner city to bad the bad ones out due good people I seen , that’s including owner at least , the owner‘s wife was very helpful and very nice , she and others there invited us to gathering at office. Drove by with lots of waves , Except for one. I have it a four because it’s not bad place lots of improvement and rewriting rules, etiquette, even if you don’t like the person if you are the owner, you should be appreciated. They spent their money at your place.
