Quiet little place to stay the night. The Railroad House is like staying in a museum lol

Perfect One Night Stay! What a hidden gem! Our short overnight stay was perfect. Full hookup, first come-first serve, $30 a night, but only 4 sites. Super quiet though a train might roll through during the day, but no trains rode by the night we stayed. If you have kids, there is a nice playground set, and a shareable fire pit and shared pavilion covered picnic tables. I also had a bar of 5g (AT&T). I would definitely stay here again if I’m traveling through Kansas. Pay for site at kiosk.

EDIT: Stayed here again on a cross country trip. Price has gone up to $30, but it's the same quiet spot with a very unique backdrop with the grain elevator. Sites are also now packed gravel instead of grass which makes it easier to see where to park. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I wish more places like this existed across America. Paid $25 for a single night stay. Full hookups (50amp, water, sewer). If we weren't racing west ahead of an early winter storm we would have stayed another day. We arrived after dark and it was a bit tricky to find. There's a small plaque on the road that indicates you drive down the dirt road to a mowed grass field, but it was hard to see until we got out with a flashlight. Setup in the dark was a bit tricky to figure out the configuration of the 4 sites, but there was only 1 other camper and they were tent camping so we didn't need to be perfect. The only small con here was that we saw a couple black widows. One was hanging out in the power pedestal and gave us a bit of a jump when we opened to plug in our power. We sprayed some bug spray around the RV and didn't see any bugs in the RV. The grain elevator was humming all night but not really that noisy. More of a nice steady white noise. Our boys loved playing soccer in the field in the morning as the fog lifted. Payment is easy. Just put cash in an envelope on a stand near the RV sites and slip it into the payment box.

Loved every moment of staying here. I love that the town has history signs and a museum. They have everything you need. I wished we planned to stay an extra night because we had a blast. They have a coffee shop also. For $25.00 a night it was well worth it. They take great care of the grounds it was perfectly level and you can tell they take good care of the area. I hope to make it out here again in the future. Thank you so much for the hospitality.

Great place for an overnight stop. Full hookups, 50 amp, level sites and quiet. Right off of the highway. Self pay. Much cheaper than most rv sites and way cheaper than a motel. We had some bad weather but I guess that’s what happens in Kansas.
