Dalmeny Campground

Most friendliest staff I came across! Came across an unexpected issue which could have become a disaster travelling with kids but the staff from dalmeny were very welcoming and generous they really made our camping experience extra special. Highly recommended and would definitely visit again!!! The campground is so beautiful and the facilities are very clean. There's even a playground in close proximity. Great place for the whole family to enjoy!

We stayed here last week with our two kids - it was one of the best campgrounds from our whole road trip! We loved it and wished we had more time to stay here. Right on the beach, great fish and chips and amazing coffee next door - it was so amazing! Highly recommend staying here if you have the chance.

We booked Dalmeny Campground after seeing some great photos shared by others on Facebook, and the location itself really is beautiful. The views are lovely (when they’re not blocked by your neighbours multiple cars) and the proximity to local shops is a definite plus. Unfortunately, communication before and during our stay was frustrating. I tried calling around midday on a weekday but the automated system kept me on hold for so long that I eventually gave up. Online booking also had issues, although after some persistence I did manage to secure our booking. Further attempts to call and confirm the size of our van were unsuccessful. We arrived at the end of the school holidays and the park was very busy. Our allocated site was in the middle of multiple family groups with several cars each, and we had to ask neighbours more than once to move their vehicles so we could access our space. The next day, we asked about relocating to a quieter site with some shade (there appeared to be plenty available), partly to allow our neighbour more room for their car. When I eventually managed to speak to someone by phone, they were not onsite and advised me to attend the office to speak with staff. As we were out at the time and given our accommodation is mobile, we needed clarity before moving. I was told the matter needed to be raised with the manager and that the park was fully booked, and that I would receive a call back. Unfortunately, no one returned the call, and by that evening the park was noticeably less than half full. The amenities were also disappointing. The toilets and showers were muddy and unkempt on arrival and remained that way for most of our stay. It appeared they were only cleaned once daily, which is inadequate during school holidays, especially with so many families using the facilities. Overall, the location and views are the highlight, but better communication, site management, and more frequent cleaning of amenities would significantly improve the experience.

What a great place to relax although the campgrounds were on a slope still managed with a bit of effort. We did a lot of sightseeing around the area which was absolutely remarkable. Would deffinately be back soon.

Oh my goodness - what a great find this place is! We’ve already extended our stay once, but considering extending again. The beach is genuinely just across the road, the IGA is about 50m away, the facilities at the campground are clean and tidy and the view is to die for. We can even see the whales from our caravan window!!!
