Unwelcoming of families and groups We couldn't have been made to feel more unwelcome. 3 times we were "spoken to" in a span of 24 hours - we made some noise when we got out of the courtesy bus from The Sports Club, but other than that, were very respectful. We were warned to be quiet as the long term residents were shift workers and we were told that if the manager had known we had kids she wouldn't have agreed to our booking. Our children are 10, 12 and 15. And again, are actively encouraged to be quiet at night and respectful of others. One of our children has a hearing disability which makes her a bit louder, but again, she is reminded to lower her voice. Quite frankly, if that's not allowed, then that would be discrimination. We were made to feel extremely on edge. Two small families, no drinking and loud behavior, just playing a board game or two. When we booked the park they were made aware we had children. I mean, it was school holidays after all! We were also warned to keep our children off the roads and near the amenities - for the sake of the long term residents. We were then also spoken to about parking our car on grass - without any signs actually existing to tell us where to park. It was a very uncomfortable experience all around. We would not advise families, people in groups bigger than 2 or anyone who wants to relax to stay here - Delores Umbridge will be on your case!
The Cheery Nomad Rv Park and Farmstay although is clean, within a lovely environment and affordable, the rules and management were not accomodating in the slightest. We were constantly being told off for simply enjoying our holiday with kids. Whether it was noise, pets or parking. If this establishment would like to continue to have new guests, they must learn to be accomodating to all individuals and learn to create an environment that anybody would actually want to stay for a few nights, instead of only accomodating to certain individuals.
Lovely place to stay away from the hustle of the city. Unfortunately, no-one can predict 30+ ml of rain in the grassed area. Very wet under foot but ok. It's all part of the adventure. Last day here and it's already dying out. We'll be back another time. See you then
Great location. Close to town but far enough out to relax and enjoy the peace. Amenities are easily accessible and clean and if you want a quick social drink Lucky's bar does the job.
Well located , well maintained , and for 35 a powered site is a bargain. One of the few with a bar with great drink prices. Best thing is the managers just chilled. If you want a chalet I think they are here as well . Camp-site no power is 10 bucks.
