Great place to stop off and enjoy the beautiful view.

Nice place to stop and get organised before entering Canberra. Looks different with all the water. Last time I was here it was dry as a bone.

Fantastic view of Lake George. It's 2025, and is an actual lake with water. In dry years when the water table recedes, the water disappears and lake George becomes a vast grass plain with grazing sheep. It can remain like this for many years.

If you’re driving from Canberra to Sydney or about to reach Canberra, I strongly recommend taking a break. Breathe in some fresh air and enjoy the wonderful views! 🌿🚗

Stopped here for a quick rest on my drive from Sydney to Canberra. The view of Lake George is absolutely beautiful and worth the stop on its own. Peaceful, breezy, and a great place to stretch your legs. But what made my visit unforgettable was an unexpected encounter—a red-bellied black snake casually crossing the pavement right next to my car. It was calm and moved away quietly when I approached (at a respectful distance!). A water skink also appeared nearby. Felt like nature was putting on a show just for me! So yes, it's a peaceful spot—but stay alert and respectful of wildlife. This is Australia after all! Would definitely stop again.
