I purchased an RV spot. 75$ for the night. Level ground, decent grassy space, mostly quiet area and 2 minute walk to the restaurant and to the small town (highly recommend Knights Ferry Creamery for ice cream/ or bagged coffee) Camp managers are nice, got me signed in fast and we're helpful in showing me where everything was. The town's people are very nice too. Overall a fun little place to check out.
Barely any room for tents⛺️ and the little room there is, is by the river. The rest of the property is covered in rocks on hard dirt. If you're going to use tents, get the plots closest to the river. From there you can swim and use the fire pit. The other campers loved the cabins and plots for the RVs but the best thing about it is the location, close enough to enjoy the town, hiking trails and the rest of the river. Really, the only complaints we had were the "campers" in the cabin across from us. They were drunk and loud the whole night. We still managed to sleep despite their chaotic behavior but not for long. One woman in the group stole one of the other men's car and he was yelling, cussing and arguing with the others through the night when he found out. The other complaint was that the restaurant didn't open until after we had to leave. Opening at 10:30AM would be better. We could've left with a full belly, o'well. Either way, we enjoyed our stay.
We highly recommend this safe, clean facility and small private campsite! It offers RV parks and small cabins perfect for short stays. What made our visit exceptional were the hosts, Joe and Lucky; their incredible kindness made us feel completely at home, and we enjoyed both of our stays in that month! Bonus: a huge restaurant next door and river right on the edge of the camp site in which you can enjoy the relaxing vibe and water sports.
My daughter and I rented one of the cabins. It has a queen size bed and all the amenities you could need. Refrigerator, microwave, heater and air conditioning. The shower was nice, with a little seat to sit down and let the water run on you. The only issue is the fact that the Wi-Fi connection was not strong, so we couldn't watch shows on Roku and the Wi-Fi kept shutting off. But we were near the river where there are two fire pits, picnic benches and trees. For the most part, the area is quiet as long as the other people are quiet as well. The restaurant is walking distance around the corner from the campsite. The staff on site is very friendly and helpful and there's also outside restrooms.
No actual complaints, just know cabin 7 (6) does not have a mini fridge, or microwave, which isn't stated on the site. However I will say, Jackie, the camp host, and the owner went out of their way to help. When you stay here you feel like family. We met a lot of cool people, and we love the community fire pits by the water. Kind of forces campers to gather, and meet. Had a very 6th grade camp kind of vibe. Plus the location is right at a wide, shallow spot in the river perfect for swimming. Fishing is amazing if you stay in the shadow areas, and the general store sells amazing hand tied flies. The walk to the restaurant, ice cream parlor, general store, and saloon is less than 2 minutes. Amazing spot, that we will be going back to again, and again. Go visit Jackie the camp host, she's a fun conversation if you get bored.
