Hamilton County Chester Frost Park Campground

Chester Frost campground is fantastic. I'm a little hobbled up so getting around is tricky but I had no problems with any of the facilities or just getting around and looking at the campsites. It's a beautiful area. The lake was peaceful and the sunsets were fantastic. It's definitely a place to go to chill out and to reconnect.

Chester Frost park and campground in Hixson outside of Chattanooga, Tennessee is one of our favorite go to campground as it’s only 2 hours from our home in Knoxville, Tennessee. This pet and big rig friendly park is on the shores of the beautiful Chickamauga lake that covers over 36,000 acres. The campground has 228 camp sites, we scored a lake front site # 97. The roads and site pads are all paved with 50, 30 and 20 amp power, Water, a picnic table and fire rings. Each has a pee gravel patio area Free WiFi ,Bathhouses ,laundry and a dump station . They have Yurts for rent ,picnic shelters , boat docks,playgrounds.fishing piers. Watch out for Deer on the road coming into the park there around. A really nice sandy beach and swimming area. Only 15 minutes to downtown Chattanooga with two aquariums , lookout mountain, Rock city and so much more. Be Sure to go and eat a one of two City Cafes locates.

Great in your back yard campground. Beautiful sunset, clean bathhouse, and friendly staff.

super nice place , The lake is FANTASTIC!!!the spaces are ample.they have their own patch of grass plus a fire pit,water hook up but no sewer. park rangers are around so all in all it's an inexpensive place to go for a quick vacation or weekend trip.

Very nice layout plenty of sites right on the river. Prices RV jungle 45 RV in nature 25 with rent Great for families with kids. Not a party spot so great for the family
