Thanksgiving 2025. 4 families, 3 spots. Grateful to folks in office for helping us with getting wood bundle after hours. It kept us all warm despite the temperature below zero during dawn
I had a good experience here. I stayed in campsite 82, right on the water, where I could almost directly launch my paddleboard. Great sheltered lake for paddling! Campsites are all slightly different layout and shape here, I enjoyed in the shoulder season being able to drive around and pick which one was best for me. Most campsites would have been fairly flat and decent size for me, staying in my tent. Campsite hosts were kind and answered my questions welcomely. Downside is paying for showers, something you wouldn't have to do paying for a BC Parks Campground at the same cost per night.
I have been here every year for 30 years. I will always return. Rented trailers are now getting to aged and run down. Cabins are beautifuly small. (Love them)
We've been to this campground a few times. Our most recent visit was unfortunately just one night in the Parkview trailer as a budget alternative for the family, as it was last minute and hotels in Kaslo and Nelson were about 3x as much. They were accommodating and helpful as always, the trailer is old of course but was clean and comfort. They had bedding for the kids. We regretted leaving after a day but we were booked to move on, but its something to consider in the future if we don't have the trailer again.
This is a beautiful campground close to Kaslo. It's not right in town but it on the shore of Mirror Lake which is a private campground. You don't need a fishing licence to fish because it's private. There's a nice beach, a dock, children's playground. The owners are great people. Their hard work in keeping the campground to a high standard is obvious. The lady who works in the office is super helpful. 10/10 for customer service. So welcoming and informative. There are bugs - bring spray. Internet is only good if you are right by the office. However, it is possible to buy internet ($5 apparently) to give you a better signal. There's a short walk/bike ride around the lake. Also a walk (much harder bike ride) up to a viewpoint. CA$30 nigh + tax (water only, no hookups). Washrooms are immaculately clean. Showers are CA$1 for 2 mins.
