Really nice camp hosts and great trail! Probably the best state park in Texas
Pictures are misleading as there is little water this time of year it seems. That fishing dock in the picture is fully on dry lake bed with several feet more to the water . Other than that it was a great $15 campsite with nice trails to hike... I never saw any longhorns though 😕
This was a great location to setup camp. We had a two persontent and the site was more than enough room. Everyone else seems to bring apartment size tents and still managed to have lot of room. The sites have water, fire pit, tent pad (some better than others), BBQ pit, and a table. Besides the various different campers you will run into, this is a excellent camp. Star gazing is great if your site is free of over growth.. Overall, we loved it and will return.
