The new owner is making great improvements to the park and is a very personable man, very accommodating. Great views of Wind River Mtn Range. Bathhouse is one stall shower but plenty of soft, hot water, 3 stall toilets, and I appreciated the propane wall heat. The sites are pretty level. Campground is off Hwy 191 with minimal hwy noise. We stayed 2 weeks on our way to Tetons/Yellowstone because it's reasonably priced for full hookups! We explored the surrounding areas, which are beautiful, and I also recommend going to the Mountain Man Museum. We will definitely stay here again if we ever travel through the area again.
Nice place to park our little trailer. The owner is very nice and gave us a wonderful price to park. Enjoyed water hook up, hot shower, electricity, and a good place to do laundry. Near Fremont lake. Excellent stop on our trip.
We stayed at this RV parks and not regret at all. Plenty of camp sites, laundry rooms and the owner is a great person. We had a wonderful time here! It’s so woodsy and feels like you’re living country style versus city. We had a great experience!
Michele and I have stayed at Wind River View twice now. It's not a fancy park by any means but the new owner is working hard to make it better. For now it works well for us. It's clean, the utilities all work well and it has bath and wash facilities if you need them. It's very convienient to Pinedale only 10 miles north and Rock Springs 88 miles south. Best of all it's the least expenive RV Resort membership I've ever seen! For less than $500 one time entry fee and only $129/yr maintenance, one has access to Coast to Coast for as little as $89/yr and only 1600 RV parks around the county! You can stay at Coast to Coast parks for only $10/night for up to two weeks! Upgrade to the Premier C2C membership ($199/yr) and those nights are FREE! All in for $319/yr and full hookup camping all over the counry! That's less than $1/night! We spent $20,000 for our fancy RV park membership and $800/yr maintenance to get access to C2C. This way I could have stayed at all the same parks for a very small fraction of the cost.
If you want the real ranch life deal, you've got it here. The nightly campfire/meet-and-greet are a great place to meet people from around the continent. It's windy in the daytime (not good for tenting, which we did), and cold at night (also a caveat to tenters). The town is at 7016 feet. The rustic out-buildings, cabins, and trailers give a western feel to the property. Definitely good for RVers, not for tenters. Lander is too far away for a day trip (2 hours) , and Jackson Hole is not much closer (1.75 hrs). I didn't see the town, but it seems primitive as far as attractions. In short, Wind River View is a good, friendly & authentic stop on a road trip.
