Only stayed a night, but we enjoyed the quiet. Came right after Christmas and not a single person was camping in our loop. This will be a regular stop on our way to and from further south.
it's a good place to get some peace and quiet.they close one loop in the winter where all the day people park so it's hard to find parking for you're truck or car
Our favorite place to swim at Pat Mayse Lake! There’s a nice lake beach and lots of charcoal grills, picnic tables, good trash cans, and the grounds are always well kept! Lots of RV spots, nice bathrooms, and water spigots available. (Photo was taken at the lake beach when the comet was visible.)
Don't come here, enough people already do 😆 Seriously its your average COE park, fishing is good, hit Brannan's bait shop first and hit them up for fishing info. As for the park, it's from the '80s hasn5 changed since then. No problem getting any sized rv in here, and they even have handicap accessible spots. If your boating the ramps are perfect no problem for any boat, so bring them.
Came during spring break so most of the stuff wasn't ready. Some of the water pipes at the sites leak a lot. There's good lake access. The dump is a little rough with 2 stell posts on each side and an old song covering the hole. Only one showerhouse for the whole campground and most sites aren't full hook up. There are a lot of sites that are also difficult to get into and lots of tight corners. They are doing a park clean up though so it may be a little nicer during the summer. Overall it was a ok stay and there was quite a few lake access places to go fish and do other activities. Thw Beach was ok but very rocky. The signage is also not great.
