For $50 booked 5 hours before arriving, I have no real complaints. It's nothing special, and as expected the rooms were fairly dingy and quite rough around the edges, but the beds themselves were perfectly fine, and we didn't encounter any bugs. For a cheap stay in a pinch I have no issue recommending this spot, at least based on my personal experience. Disclaimer: This stay was for 1 night in early September 2025

Housekeeper jess is the bomb.com - owners were the absolute worst people I’ve ever encountered in the hospitality industry - rude nasty attitude money hungry and overbearing

Honestly would not stay there again. I stayed there for 2 weeks (i needed to stay for 7 months) so for those rates i got a house more clean and cheaper. owners are friendly when you pay their expensive rate. But when you start reserving on websites for lower rates they start acting up. You could save up to 80$ on websites. It is expensive for their quality. Poor lighting, beds were sunk in the middle for excessive wear and tear, the owner even tells you that if you keep on getting cheap rates he will give you the worst rooms in the back. Not to mention the bed bugs. Fridge with left over food from other people. I guess they think they are the onlyones out there. Every time i entered after room service the roome smelled like somone smoked there. My luggage moved for no reason when it was not on the way. I even saw one of the cleaning lady drinking a beer behind the rooms. And every time you get a very hot room because they go in and chut the ac off to save electricity

This is a budget motel along US Route 1. That being said, I was very pleasantly surprised. The room had just been cleaned before my check in at 1:30 pm. The room was clean, it smelled good, the bathroom was clean and supplied. The floor was vacuumed, even under tables and beds. It impressed me so much, I walked out and immediately tipped the cleaning lady, who was still on her rounds, and has evidently been there forever. Nothing was broken, the remote worked, the sheets AND bedspreads had been cleaned and all THREE queen beds. Yes, three queen sized beds in a very large room by today's standards. There were even 3 stuffed chairs and an ottoman. Yes, the motel and the rooms are dated. Therin lay the charm, for in this room, only the flat screen TV gave away that this was not 50 years in the past. It reminded me of every room I'd ever stayed in before 1985. Even the bible was still in the nightstand drawer, one of three. Yes, I saw a few 3/8 inch holes in the beadspreads. I also saw where someone had cut the burnt edge and hand sewed the holes shut, and this evidence was on all 3 holes I found. People, they are trying like hell to make these rooms as presentable as possible considering their age. They can't be making a fortune owning this motel, but are still putting what they have into it. The family who owns and run this place work hard, are respectful, and I found them charming. Even the owner's mother(?) running the desk on Sunday morning commands respect and is rather nice when one actually speaks to them with respect and dignity. I firmly believe Grandma there does not suffer fools well. I was not going to incur her potential wrath, and I'm a 51 year old man! I had a wonderful time here, and I got to show my rather-young-for-my-age children a piece of an America that no longer exists. Same time, next year... 2024 UPDATE. Still love this place. Same great family, cares about community, works hard, This motel is a local institution, with multiple generational customers. Owners embrace this responsibility. Worthy of your business ..

The room was just cleaned before we arrived. They did a wonderful job cleaning everything, it even smelled clean. The room was dated, but nothing was dirty. It had small imperfections, but for its age and price it was excellent. We had 3 beds in our room. It was a spacious room. It even had 3 stuffed chairs and an ottoman. The TV was fine and the remote worked. The Bible was still in the drawer. If it wasn't for the flat screen TV, it could have been 1962. The only real complaint I have is the AC unit was temperamental, but we did get it to work. Our neighbors were a little loud, but that's ok. The family running it was super nice. Best place to stay in that area.
