Went to watch my nephew’s hockeys practice, not sure if they ran out of salt for ice for front doors or just lazy people running it, after walking in I see the glass has been replaced with plywood very nice touch, bathrooms were absurd. Not sure if the heater is broke or if they are trying to save money, used to be such a nice rink well taken care of, not sure what happened but I’d be embarrassed to say I’m managing this arena I think the village of Alix needs to have a look and see how awful it is, such a shame. Glad I don’t live and pay taxes for this run down arena, sad for the people that do, knowing alix is a very small community this if definitely one of the only social gathering places for adults and children, hope this is resolved..

Cool old time arena, the maintenance program could use a boost. Doors into the player benches have been broken all season and don’t align properly making for an edge for players to catch on and potentially get injured. A few other things similar to that in the dressing rooms but all in all a cool old arena with that nostalgic feel to it.

An oldie, but a goldie that has stood the test of time. In fact, this is the oldest arena in Alberta at the ripe old age of 75! The interior of the playing area is quite cold so be sure to bring gloves and a hot drink! Even the refs get noticeably cold from the rink, often having to warm up their hands in between plays. The temperature makes for good, fast ice though. In the stands, there are heaters so the fans don't get too cold. The rink is made of wood and has had a concession area added for everyone's convenience. There is free parking all over the place around the building. You can see that this arena truly is the heart and soul of this village.

Vonda, her hubby and team run a fantastic concession and make everyone feel so good at the arena! They treated my daughter like gold and everyone enjoyed their snacks and hospitality. Thank you Vonda! The Knights enjoyed 🏒🥰
