Wow, stay farrrrr away. The owner Scott is an absolute psychopath. He operates the campground on a culture of fear. He will be nice to your face one minute and then call you at late hours telling you you’re evicted. There is no lease to speak of. Residents have been trying to get something on paper for years. He kicked out a resident by saying he wouldn’t renew their lease so forced them out (no warning) and wouldn’t let them sell to their friends. He changes the terms at whim, including claiming to “commission sales” by taking 10-20% (he forgets what he told you and it keeps changing) but he does literally nothing to help sales. People sell on marketplace and then hope he’s in a good mood when they tell him they have a buyer. He tells potential buyers to “short” the seller by 10-20% and pay him the rest so residents have no leg to stand on if they want to get out of there . The lease is $4150 plus GST but I would be surprised if he claimed GST. No other leased lot I’ve ever been to charges GST. He claims the money goes to improving the property but it’s run down and amenities are always broken. This guy is a crook. Trailers depreciate as soon as you buy them, so if you don’t want to lose another 10-20% in value just by setting foot on this lot, consider yourself warned. I am just waiting for a class action suit to go through! STAY AWAY
Always a good place to go in the winter or summer times because of the views of the hoodoos are top notch!
Came to the Hoodoo Mountain Resort from the Okanagan Valley 3 years ago. Met fantastic new friends that we enjoy riding our bikes on the Heritage Trail, kayaking down the Columbia River, fishing on the many lakes that are close and golfing at the many courses about. Great owner/management. The resort has many friendly people. Ideal place for the kids in a safe and friendly environment. Great place for us to spend your retirement years.
BEWARE! This place has terrible management. The campground full of loud, obnoxious people with no imposed curfew.
We've been camping here a few years now. It's a great RV campground with awesome and friendly people that we look forward to seeing every summer! Not far from Fairmont and Invermere so it's not a hassle to hit a grocery store for amenities and there's also a bunch of different outdoor activities close by as well! Highly recommend!
