We are camping here for a week. Excellent views of the inlet, excellent staff, well maintained camp ground. We wished we could stay longer.
Large sites. Quiet. Friendly staff. Cleanest campground I've ever been to - including bathrooms. Large salt water pool. Beautiful waterfront sites with gorgeous views. Fishing. Kayaking. Tennis. Horse shoes. Already planning my next visit !!!
Beautifully kept Campground. Spectacular views. Many choices for things to do. The owners even had an ice cream social on Saturday with locally made ice cream.
We had an absolute best 5 days at Chewonki. The site we had was placed right with a perfect view of the water, a breeze and shade. We have a popup so didn't need an AC. It was so peaceful and all the people, both staff and campers were so friendly. Bath house was always clean (not a lot of places get that rating from me). Showers were hot, pool was awesome. I can't think of any negatives. We WILL be back to this campground. 1 hour or so from Boothbay, Popham and a grandchild. Who could ask for more.
Great camping near downtown Wiscasset. Pretty views & friendly staff. They also have tennis/pickleball court & swimming pool. We didn’t use either. All sites have a picnic table and fire pit too. No internet or cable which makes work a bit difficult, however cell reception is solid (AT&T) No problem getting to/from with a large Class A + Tow vehicle. All RV sites are gravel pad which I don’t mind. Full hookups 30/50 amp. Water pressure is on the lower side. Filled the tank and used onboard pump instead. Could use some more shade trees at the larger sites but very roomy. You’re in a field baking in the sun. Most of the treed sites are for smaller campers or tent site w/o hookups. Also a dock you could launch a canoe or kayak from as well as fish.
