DON'T DO IT!!! if your idea of a great vacation is sitting on the floor in a bare shed this might be for you. it is literally a shed with a broken bed that looks like it was scavenged from the junk yard. And if you are looking to use the bathroom,,,, no problem! walk down the hill (hopefully it is not too dark) and there is an outhouse to share with the neighbors. Oh, and when the owner tells you to expect a full refund, know that means you will get nothing!

We originally booked our stay here for 2 nights while I was attending a course in Digby. We extended our stay by an extra night so I could enjoy the area for a day as well. The staff we met were very friendly and welcoming. The property has a rustic charm with absolutely stunning views, which are by far its best feature! That said, the place could really use some TLC. The kayaks we rented were filthy and full of bugs (ear wigs, spiders, spider eggs, crickets), which could easily be avoided with a quick rinse or by storing them off the ground. Would have been nice if they said "Oh the kayaks have not been used for awhile, let me grab the hose and rince them off for you before you head out." That would been greatly appreciated. Nonetheless, we did our best cleaning them before hitting the river. Using the kayaks were still the highlight of our trip!! It was a nice river to paddle up and have the tide bring us back. It was also a great view of the domes! Around the property, some cabins and common areas look worn down, with trim and boards missing. One cabin had the blinds laying on the ground and were visible to anyone who walked by. A quick fix would make it look 100% better. Small things like this. The public showers had plenty of hot water, but the stalls were extremely tight and the showerheads in need of maintenance or replacement. A fresh shower curtain more often would also help with the noticeable mildew smell. Although the toilet area and showering area were very clean, along with the porta pottys. We were very happy with this. We stayed in one of the domes, which offered a great view and a decent bed, but the upkeep was lacking. The barbecue was very dirty, (the greas traps were full and needed emptying) The flooring inside the dome had large gaps (most likelyfrom the shifing of the platform), the small air conditioners (duct-taped into the window) couldn’t keep up with the heat in the afternoons. But the space was very comfortable in the evenings and mornings. The duct tape would constantly come off and needed to be placed back on every hour. We could have called for help but I felt the tape would continue to unstick with the heat so we did not bother. Although we ran out of propane, and they came with a tank right away and hooked it all up. The outdoor “hot water” shower available at our dome was simply unusable—it was ice cold and should really be advertised that way. When we found out we had a privet outdoor shower we were very excited, then swiftly disappointed when the water was way to cold to handle. Not the end of the world because the public showers were very close by and readily available. Overall, the location and views make this place special, but the facilities and attention to detail need improvement. With some updates and regular maintenance, this property could be much more enjoyable for guests, especially the ones who are not from the maritimes with bit higher standards. If we need a place to stay again in the area, we definitely would go back! I can't stress how absolutely stunning the views were. We both would recommend folks to stay here. Just keep in mind it is what it is. But the a little TLC the place would be jaw-dropping!

Such a fantastic time the dome was beautiful and so cozy the river was great to kayak, the community is very cute with lots of little art galleries and good food too! We will definitely be back !

We were really looking forward to our stay, but sadly, the cabin had some major issues, including mold, water damage, and huge gaps in the windows. And gaps in the wall panels no air circulation no water or bathrooms in cabin we lost our money and left the same day but learned from our mistakes On the bright side, the location was stunning, and the lady was very friendly

Unforgettable Stay in the Dome! My wife and I stayed in one of the domes for two nights, and it was an amazing experience! Despite being the premium option on site, the dome was super affordable and absolutely worth every penny. The new management has really elevated the experience—we felt more comfortable than at home! The location is stunning, right on the Bear River with tides rising nearly 30 feet, creating breathtaking views. When the tide is high, the river is perfect for canoeing or kayaking, which they offer at great prices. Plus, it's only 15 minutes away from Digby, a charming city with plenty to explore! For anyone seeking a peaceful and unique getaway, I highly recommend staying in one of these domes. You won’t be disappointed!
