Camping Dallaire

I do not recommend this campsite. From the moment we arrived, the man at reception was clearly disrespectful. Initially, he told us everything was fine and that he would direct us to the campsite, but then he asked us for a price that wasn't the one displayed. Furthermore, he insisted on cash payment only. We agreed without hesitation, but then suddenly he decided to brush us off and said he didn't have any space for us. Without any explanation, he got back on his ATV and drove off. Truly the behavior of a monkey.

Positive: Good campsite for heading to the Hautes Gorges or Grands Jardins National Parks. No need to book in advance, so it's super convenient. Just arrive early to pitch your tent and then go hiking :) The owner is very kind; he makes the rounds for drinking water and firewood! Plus, we were able to get Wi-Fi in the tent :) Then the sunsets on the little beach are wow!! Negative: The campsite was quite noisy on Saturday night. There was a small party going on until 11 p.m.

Primarily a seasonal campground, but offers very good value for money for those camping in tents. Shaded tent sites are available, the service is excellent, and while the water isn't potable, they do make rounds to offer free drinking water.
