Awesome bath house! Clean, Peaceful surroundings! Had a Camper stay - convenient utilities. Host/owners are very ...I lost my id's while there and they mailed it back to me!
So beautiful!! Cabins and campsites both are great, clean bathhouse area. Beautiful pond to fish, canoe, kayak! The owner is a heck of a guy that would do anything for anyone!! Webster County is lucky to have Camp Holly!!
First the woman and little girl running the camp ground were great very friendly and loved the knowledge and friendliness no complaints to those two. The bathrooms were the best restrooms for camping i have ever experienced. However the ugly, I rented a cabin and camp spot for our family, The main owner would see us coming and run with dogfood or fish food and start feeding the trout which left a bad taste in everyone’s mouth. He stays in the cabin closest to the pond so he can see everything going on and feels like he’s micromanaging the fishing. One trout died and I hate wasting I offered to take it out and cook it so it didn’t go to waste and wanted me to pay like $9.00 pound for the already dead fish. Yeah I chucked it back into the pond after that. I spent over $800 which was a cabin 2 tent spots for 5 days I left after 2 and went to Gerald freeman all we felt was hovering by the owner. I will never be back.
I had an incredible stay at camp holly! My friend and I tent camped in space 31, furthest from the office/shop. Though we were the most secluded from the check-in area and other campers, all listed amenities were still very close including an outhouse and very nice and clean bathroom/shower area. We set up right alongside the creek/swimming hole which made for the most relaxing background noise when sleeping and the most beautiful scenery during the day. The grounds are extremely well kept and maintained and we even got to chat with the owner a few times during our visit. It felt private and serene without being isolated. This location is perfect for anyone looking for a short tent camping trip or a longer get away in their a-frame cabins. It feels safe enough for solo camping but would be just as perfect for a small group of friends to enjoy together. The trees give just enough shade to keep you cool during the day while still being able to see the stars at night. The creek is shallow enough to wade but deep enough in spots to swim. The host was so inviting and made sure we felt safe and welcome. We will definitely be back!!
My family and I absolutely loved this camp ground! The Hostess Kylie and her daughter were SO fantastic and really made the trip that much more special! They were waiting at the camp store and greeted us upon arrival; her daughter played with our almost 3 year old which made her trip and Kylie went out of her way to be as helpful and accommodating as possible- even giving my husband burn cream for a bad second degree burn he got the first night. We were the only tent campers and had lots of privacy. The only reason I gave 4 stars out of 5 for that is because there's an abandoned trailer right across the river from our campsite that was an eye sore and we didn't find out until the second day that there was a larger area with even more privacy on the other side of the fishing pond which we would've paid extra to pitch our tent there. But that is a very minor point. Kylie offered us the kayak's and had children and adult size life jackets. She knows the area very well and was able to recommend off site dining. Her daughter gave us a tour of the property and was very knowledgeable of the fishing, swimming and wildlife. I caught a very large rainbow trout in their pond which was a blast! The bath house has 2 VERY WELL KEPT toilets and showers within a short walking distance of any site you are at and the farther tent sites on the left side of the pond have their own outhouse. The privacy and water access made the location phenomenal and we will be back! Thank you so much Kylie & Emma, you girls are fantastic!
