Grand Oaks Park

We seldom give 5 stars as there usually always room for improvement somewhere. We just returned from a great 2 night stay here.. There are only positive things to say about this place. The transient sites were fantastic right along the Grand River.. The wood that was delivered was more than an ample supply and actually dry!! That is very big bonus. If you have smaller kids there are plenty of activity equipment for them as well as a splash pad area next to the pool. The only negative thing is we were surprised the pool closed at 5 pm on Tues. rather odd.. Anyway we would recommend this campground, much better than a provincial park. Murray and Wendy

We had a wonderful weekend. The park was very welcoming. The facilities are clean. Went on May 24 lo g weekend. Lots of activities planned for the weekend. Would go back. Thank you for a great weekend.

This place is awesome ! My wife and I decided to look for a park closer to home as the drive every weekend from Hamilton to Kawartha’s pigeon lake was just dumb. We came across sun retreats Cayuga thanks giving weekend 2022 we walked the entire park and thought wow this is the place. The ladies in the office were very welcoming and advised us that we had to go on a waiting list, we thought this was a shot in the dark but why not try. 2023 we got a call, we thought we won the lottery so we immediately went out there to pick a spot. George was great to deal with, he showed us the entire park and spots that were available. We picked a spot that day and brought our trailer the following weekend. My wife and I were very impressed at how well maintained the grounds are kept and that fact that there are garage cans throughout the park that aren’t over flowing like our previous park. The compound is kept very clean as well, no junk collecting. First year we made some great friends and great memories, we are super excited about 2024 season. I would recommend this park to anyone looking for a seasonal or weekend spot. Keep up the good work !

Wonderful weekend spent with family and friends. Perfect weather…Beautiful scenery…Great people felt like I was in the islands (Jamaica to be exact). Children had an amazing time and enjoyed the pool, the roasting of marshmallows, the hiking trails and the camp out in the tents. Definitely would do it again and highly recommend coming here. I’ve been coming here for 4 years, I am here all of the time. I’m not sure what these people are talking about saying the park is not suitable for children, they have 2 parks for children, always clean. The pool is open every single day UNLESS they are doing some type of maintenance to it. The bathrooms are always clean and they have a different amount of toilets and showers in each bathroom, some have more some have less. Grand Oaks RV is NOT AS LARGE AS SOME OF THE OTHER SUN RV RESORTS, which is by they don’t have as many showers & toilets as some of the larger parks. Obviously this is not a problem because the Sun RV owners have zero issues with this park. The park manager is not driving drunk on the equipment while he is on duty. This year the park was under a huge amount of construction and a lot of the areas were still getting worked on AFTER they opened. There is ALWAYS ice and ALWAYS fire wood. Clearly some people who are writing bad reviews must have done something to get in trouble by George because there is no way he was rude or unpleasant in any way. Again it is a great place to stay at any age, children are MORE than welcomed here, there is lots to do and they put on a lot of activities for the kids every year, they also make sure it is a safe environment for everyone. Would definitely recommend!!!
