Called for information because I was interested in keeping my camper here next fall. The woman repeatedly asked me who I was and what I needed after I explained multiple times, then told me they were closed for the season and promptly ended the call. Disappointed because the reviews for this place looked promising.
Just an FYI this campground is only for seasonal or permanent campers, not nightly. The place looked nice and they were polite when we came driving up looking for a nightly spot. We obviously weren't the first ones who made this mistake.
We visited our cousin who owns a camper here. If you like Campground living this is a great place. Our family had a great time over the weekend even though most of the time it was raining. Lots of friendly people and from what I hear there's actually a lot of things to do, unfortunately this damn Covid was going on. The kids love driving the little golf carts around. And on Sunday the sun started to peek out a little bit and we were able to take the pontoon boat and jet ski out. I did a little fishing off of the docks unfortunately I never got a bite. If you have an opportunity to come spend some time here I'm sure you'll have a good.
I love everything about this campground. This is the first time I’ve ever been, I spent a short time here with my sister who just purchased a camper there. I would have definitely given a 5 star review, the only thing that truly stopped me was Corona (Covid-19). I gave a 4 star as I can see past all that Covid has taken from us. This is the first time I’ve ever visited and my sisters families first year spending the summer mostly remotely. I’m praying and keeping my fingers crossed 🤞 that we will return to as close to a normality we have all enjoyed before Covid.
We spent twenty some years camping there. Almost every weekend of our Summers were spent on Dublin Cove. We loved the Lake so much, we moved to that very same Cove in 2000. Coveys is a Private, Family Campground. There is a waiting list usually to get in, and even a longer list for a dock space. The campground population has more than doubled since I camped there, and golf carts are now allowed with no age limits on drivers. Although it is much more crowded than it used to be, and you run the risk of getting ran over by a four year old in a golf cart, it is still a good place to be on the weekends (if you can get in).
